CRKT Symmetry Folding Knife Reviews

Have slip joint, will travel. The CRKT Symmetry is what happens when your everyday carry becomes your anywhere carry. The ambidextrous folding knife features a classic slip joint, a low profile design, and colourful details that make it the smart choice no matter where you’re headed.
It’s extremely rare to catch designer Richard Rogers of Magdalena, New Mexico without a pocket knife. So he designed the Symmetry everyday carry folding knife to go with him when more substantial blades call too much attention. The high carbon, stainless steel drop point blade is an effective yet understated 2.7” that folds into the symmetrical stainless steel handle. Glass-reinforced nylon accents in the handle pair with an aesthetic blue backspacer and clip elevate the look. With the IKBS ball bearing pivot system, the blade deploys smoothly and is disengaged with a classic slip joint.
Never find yourself without a CRKT pocket knife again.

Bit of side to side wobble. It's a detent/friction so 'lock' isn't solid, but also doesn't have any choil or somewhere to help stop it closing on the fingers. Is also very pointy. Very tempting to fidget with too when you know you shouldn't- the pointy is a problem there also.

The blade is okay but the handle is tiny in my hands, the flip open mechanism to get the knife out it's a bit awkward due to the handle being too small, and putting it away, just be careful you don't cute yourself as I did..

Handy tool. Opening mechanism could be smoother but a great versatile knife for the price.

I bought this knife as an EDC and as a work knife for light cutting. I found the blade to be excellent. Sharp out of the box and so easy to sharpen. Keeps a good cutting edge and has a beautiful design. My only gripe which is why I dropped a star is the flipper. Sometimes it opens brilliantly but sometimes you really have to concentrate. I just found it a little annoying at times. Overall a recommended knife. Great service and delivery options too.

This is a well made delicate little knife with the functional quality expected of CRKT. I am left handed so I found the clip to be a slight hindrance as it is positioned for a right hooker. The opening g mechanism has a charm and is reminiscent of chassis Japanese designs. At the same time the slightly tapered smooth handle has a modern look to it. I describe this as delicate because it does not have the sturdiness of the CRKT Pillar or the CRKT Liong Mah folder. If you want a classy little knife as an EDC which is not to be used regularly this is OK. If you want an EDC that will be working regularly go for the Pillar. (Sadly the Liongh Mah is long out of production).
