CRKT Symmetry Folding Knife Reviews

4.5 Rating 50 Reviews
Read Heinnie Haynes Reviews

Have slip joint, will travel. The CRKT Symmetry is what happens when your everyday carry becomes your anywhere carry. The ambidextrous folding knife features a classic slip joint, a low profile design, and colourful details that make it the smart choice no matter where you’re headed.
It’s extremely rare to catch designer Richard Rogers of Magdalena, New Mexico without a pocket knife. So he designed the Symmetry everyday carry folding knife to go with him when more substantial blades call too much attention. The high carbon, stainless steel drop point blade is an effective yet understated 2.7” that folds into the symmetrical stainless steel handle. Glass-reinforced nylon accents in the handle pair with an aesthetic blue backspacer and clip elevate the look. With the IKBS ball bearing pivot system, the blade deploys smoothly and is disengaged with a classic slip joint.
Never find yourself without a CRKT pocket knife again.

My ideal edc. Light, easy to carry and sharp out of the box, although even better after a bit of work. The easy one hand opening is a big plus. Other alternatives were significantly heavier and I suspect they would be left at home whereas I take this everywhere.

For £30 you get a great knife. Smooth front flipper will have you playing with it for days. Comes very sharp straight out of the box and is incredibly easy to get the blade razor sharp.

Wasn't sure about this knife at first, mainly because I hadn't used a front flipper before, but that changed as soon as I got it out the box, it's not a knife for EDC for me only because it's so fidgety and I'd be getting it out in public (not a good thing), I just love to play with this knife as I'm watching TV just can't put it down

I have never re-reviewed anything. But I must. At this price this pocket EDC is dangerously fidgetable. It is incredibly handy, holds an edge well enough for farm shop work and is easy to sharpen, but it's the fidget factor that makes it my current go-to!

Got this free in a promo. This is easily the slickest looking knife in the cheap UK carry options from Heinnie. Doesn't come as sharp as other brands ship their products but that is easily fixed. Only other criticism is closing the slip joint can fl**k the blade from locked to closed once enough pressure is applied to bypass the otherwise sturdy lock. Means that one handed closing is far from safe and ideal which isn't a dealbreaker but is something to be aware of.

A surprisingly good knife. Excellent quality as usual.

The correct way to open this knife is by one hand using your thumb to partially open it, then open it completely with your index finger. Then to close use index finger and close with your thumb. The reason it is difficult to open usual flipper way is for safety so it stays closed in your pocket.

I bought this at a big discount. Had been been list price I'd be very disappointed. Cheap and slidey plastic scales, and plastic-coated hardware that I'd assumed would be anodised aluminium alloy. Detent is weak and the blade bounces if you try and flick it closed. One finger opening is fine. Looks more tacky in real life. Still a nice discreet everyday carry and reasonably sharp. I'd rate this as a £20-£30 product.
