“It’s good but very hard and you need to rub it directly on v wet skin. Also important to let it dry out fully between uses as I’ve found in a damp bathroom it does grow mould .. personally I’d prefer a cream in a small jar.”

“I’m not happy with this compared to other make up removal bars I’ve used. I honestly thought I was using it incorrectly as no matter how long I massaged the bar for. I’ve warmed it, I’ve put more water on it but it’s useless and does not do what it says on the packet. I understand it’s not a soap but, in my head, oil and water do not mix so how is this supposed to be effective. No amount of water will produce any amount of produce allowing me to use it. I’m embarrassed as I bought my daughters one each in place of the Rituals brand due to the good reviews but I’m unimpressed.”

Unlike traditional cleansing bars, rena works best when you rub a small amount of the bar directly onto wet skin — rather than adding water to the bar itself. Once applied, you can massage it in and then gently remove with a warm, damp cloth. We totally understand if it didn’t meet your expectations, and we really appreciate your honest feedback. “I love this product! I’m not sure I’m even using it correctly but the results are great. I wet my face in the shower, rub as much of the bar onto my hands as I can (it’s non-foaming and actually feels a little greasy). I spread it all over my face then rinse. My skin feels so clean and moisturised after. I frequently forget to put moisturiser on afterwards because it feel so lovely!”
