“Lovely idea, removes makeup nicely, not at all burning your eyes which is great but the shape of a bar is tricky for eye area, the same ingredients in a creamy form would be amazing. Unfortunately it is a no for me.”

“It doesn't matter how I use this, I've even tried to run the bar over my eye lashes to get some product onto my face but its awful. No soap or foam or...anything. Nothing happens even when I run it under the tap yo hydrate the bar. It's solid. A hard bar that doesn't remove make up.”

“This cleanser does remove stubborn eye makeup including mascara but unfortunately is very difficult to use. There is little to no lather and I was forced to rub the side of the soap directly into my eye lashes to get enough product on my skin. It is therefore very unpleasant to use.”

Hi Gillian, Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review about our grüum Lipophilic Makeup Cleanser. Sorry to hear that you had difficulty using this product. You might find it useful to follow our 'How to use' guide for better results: 1. Apply a small amount to wet skin and gently massage across your face and around the eye area. 2. Pay particular attention to areas covered in make up. 3. Rinse away the oil after a minute or so. Remove any excess make up with a reusable pad or tissue, it should lift easily from the skin thanks to the oil base. 4. Pat skin dry. I hope this helps. Warm regards Mikaela-Team gruum

“Another one to add to my stash! I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome so I have to take good care of my skin, wearing spf 50 daily and makeup when I can. I just adore the gentle cleansers and softness of my skin after using them”

“It's a good idea, and it does remove make up, however it's hard to handle and a bit slippery. I prefer cleansing balm”

“Would not recommend this product at all!! It severely irritated my skin and I don't normally have sensitive skin.. It left red blotches on my face especially the eye area and even though I used the product only once, it took almost a week for the red blotches to disappear. It really dried my skin out too and irritated my eyes - would definitely not recommend and can't believe there are seemingly so many positive reviews on here for this!”

“Tried to use the makeup remover by following the instructions on the package but none of my makeup is removed. None of my makeup is melting, and I ended up using another brand's makeup remover. I love the sunscreen and the gel serum from gruum so I am a bit disappointed :(”
