“Overall, we enjoyed the week, and my comments below are offered in the spirit of making it even better. As is often the case on such cruises, the other guests were gregarious and interesting, and the opportunity to interact with them was perhaps the main highlight. The visit highlights were the three cathedrals, especially Tewkesbury. Each of them had a choral evensong the day we were there, but unfortunately the cruise timings prevented us from attending, which was disappointing. Overall, we had a snapshot of the long and varied history of this part of England. It's a pity that on-board briefings didn't make more of this. In fact, it's the on-board experience which has most potential for enhancement. Mostly little things (too numerous to mention but including cleanliness of glasses/cutlery, and being a bit more proactive). Main meals were good, but a little more imagination with breakfasts and lunches would be welcome. Some fresh on-board baking would be appreciated and would lift the mood when cruising for several hours between moorings. Individually, the crew were pleasant, but a little more engagement/sensitivity with the guests would be welcomed - obviously some distance is necessary, but it doesn't need to feel like "us and them". Sorry if all this sounds a bit critical - my analytical instincts always push me towards suggesting how good things can be made even better. Thanks for a refreshing break.”

“Hallo i had a wonderful time on the boat
I must praise the chef for being able to accommodate my dietary requirements
However The fact that the air con was off because the generator was turned of at night was a big problem as the portholes do not open and I could not sleep in the stuffiness of the cabin in the summer
Also I can not go in the sun fora prolonged length of time and as there were no shade cloths on deck I was restriced to before 10.00 and after 16.30 Not ideal
Once again The crew were super, food was good and the outings great

“The crew did their best during a very hot week but the boat is not equiped to cope with the heat, not being helped by the air conditioning being turned off at night. The tours were slightly disorganised and not to the standard I would expect.”
“A very comfortable boat accommodating a maximum 22 passengers. The lounge/dining area was pleasantly comfortable and the top deck had cushioned seating on both sides.
The weather was rather hot and this did mean that cabins were rather warm by the end of each day.
Excursions took place on every day but you could not out if you preferred a mire relaxing day.
The food was very good overall, though once or twice it was dry and over cooked. However, the quality and service was excellent.
The staff worked so hard and ensured all passengers were happy.
Overall, a superb week both of a great cruise, great staff, great excursions and a good week.”

“The staff on board and the itinerary up to the final day was very enjoyable and the staff certainly were a part of the enjoyment.
However the last day contributed to a real anti-climax to the trip. To be taken to Cheltenham for 5 hours to find nothing there but shops was absolutely not acceptable. If that was the only thing to do we would have preferred to go home Saturday. We also could not understand the reasoning for the last night's dinner in the boathouse which was totally lacking in atmosphere.
We have two sets of friends who were interested in trying the English river cruise but we really cannot recommend it to them mainly due to the pretty dirty washing facilities + the smell as you opened the door. Surely at least an air freshener could be installed to make it more pleasant.”

“Nothing is too much trouble, everything is catered for on this cruise into the natural landscape of the river Severn. All the personnel from arriving at the boathouse to leaving at the end are attentive, trained and friendly.

I'm told it will be a completely new crew in September..shame... as this crew , in our view, were excellent. The food and choices were also excellent . Have no complaints at all. Happy to recommend this cruise 100%.

“We had the holiday that we wanted and needed. Totally relaxing and stress free, pleasant canal bank scenery and the choice to take advantage of the various trips that were available as part of the inclusive package. The staff were all equally charming. The food was ample, no choice, but alternaives made available for those of us with special requirements. The cabins were small ship size, not huge cruiser size, but clean and comfortable, and as described. All in all, a lovely relaxing break. Thank you.”
