“The crew were all lovely especially Sammi who is better than this cruise. They ran out of spirits and beer and a passenger was told he drank too much! This cruise was clearly a moneyspinner for management and nothing to do with customers. We were told to get off the boat on day 2 due to a maintenance issue. We stopped mid-afterrnoon at 2 villages which were closed. The penultimate day, we had a few hours in Gloucester and then taken to an industrial estate to spend the rest of the day and night. You were either expected to go on a coach trip to an unscheduled destination or go find your own lunch. This was an outrageous price for a really poor experience and we would not recommend this company to anyone”

Friendly and efficient cabin crew, unfailingly courteous - ensuring non-alcoholic beer was available as requested.
Cabin size and its non- functioning aircon were challenging.”

“I enjoyed my holiday. The boat and crew were first class and I was lucky that the weather was good.
My only criticism was the final day.The majority of passengers were ladies and did we really want to spend a day visiting a railway? Also there were problems and we spent two and a half hours to travel 14 miles, one way and one and a half hours the other. 4 hours in total!
Also Broadway is lovely but quite a walk for older people.

We’re sorry to hear the final day didn’t quite meet your expectations. All excursions are entirely optional and some guests prefer to relax on board or explore at their own pace, which is always absolutely fine.
We appreciate that the coach journey to the railway was longer than planned on this occasion—unfortunately, traffic delays are sometimes unavoidable, though we understand how frustrating they can be.
We’ve found over the years that the steam train trip has been enjoyed by a wide range of guests, and it’s certainly not intended to appeal to any particular group. That said, we’re always open to feedback and will take your thoughts into consideration as we continue refining our cruise itineraries.

“We had a fabulous cruise on River Severn, with excellent company and efficient and friendly crewe. The meals were delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Our one criticism has to be the size of the cabins. They were much smaller than we have ever experienced before, with little hanging or drawer space for 2 persons taking a range of clothing suitable for English weather! The toilet/shower room again was minute and very basic.
That apart, we enjoyed every minute of our holiday. Thanks to all”

“This is the second year we have sailed along the River Severn with 'English Holiday Cruises' both were lovely relaxing 6 day cruises. Last year we did the "Discovery Cruise" and this year we did the "Classic Cruise". I thing I prefered the "Discovery Cruise", but both are good. Both times with did the 'Plus Package' which gave us a night at a hotel and spa before the cruise. The food onboard is very good, the crew were very efficient and friendly. So I can recommend sailing with 'English Holiday Cruises' and the 'Plus Package'.”
