“Had a great time on the Edward Elgar with very friendly efficient crew. Cabins small which is to be expected but comfortable and high standard of cleaning. Every part of the cabin was made use of for storing. Only a small kitchen but the chef served up delicious meals every day and he was happy to make small adjustments when necessary. Enjoyed walking round the various stops plus the deck quoits, quiz nights and musical entertainment one evening whilst having our evening meal. Would definitely recommend this cruise.”

“This was a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend it. The boat was very comfortable , the cabins a bit small for two but comfy beds made up for the space. The food was excellent throughout, choice of menus varied and interesting. The staff were exceptional, led by Dan the Skipper, they looked after us, chatted with us and made sure everything was up to their high standards. Thank you for a very nice week.”

Can't reccommend this holiday highly enough. Lovely efficient staff, great food, super itinary and we feel looked after from start to finish.
It spite of all the difficulties with the lock closures this year, our holiday was still relaxing and nothing is too much trouble for them.

“Excellent relaxing short holiday.Terrific friendly crew and it is a wonderful boat-everything works.Visited some very interesting places along the River.
Perhaps you should check out your butcher-some of the meat was not up to the standard of every thing else.”
“Although we found the actual cruising very relaxing the accommodation left quite a lot to be desired. We feel the Edward Elgar is really in need of a refurbishment. The bathroom was unpleasant. The food was great at times and then sometimes not so great. We were invited to let the crew know about special days, we did this, it was David’s 80th birthday and our wedding anniversary, there was no mention of this. We were unlucky to get room 10 which is immediately below the kitchen and mess room and next to the engine, air con and stairs, not good at all.
On a more positive note the crew were lovely and we felt safe.
We mentioned all of the above in our onboard review but there has been no response. We are hopeful that the ship, once refurbished and perhaps reconfigured a bit would become a heavenly holiday. If this were the case then we’d definitely holiday on her again.”
“Although the company were operating under difficult circumstances with closure of Gloucester Lock,and an altered itinerary, the cruise was well organised and very enjoyable. The crew were very friendly and competent, the food, for the most part was imaginative and tasty. In retrospect we should probably have booked a cruise with more excursions that would give more form to the days, nevertheless, we had a good time with good company. We would happily recommend it to friends.”
