“Hassle-free experience. Car reg recognised by barrier on arrival and departure, parking close to the terminal. The only negative is that parking bays are quite narrow. I parked in an emptier area, but closer to the terminal I saw many larger vehicles parked so close that it would make it difficult for their owners to enter their cars on return.”
“I always pre-book my ticket, having done the same the last 2 times. The machine doesn't recognise the reg plate(even though clean), so I push the button to get a ticket to get in then on leaving, it tells me I'm due to pay still.
Just a wee bit narked that it doesn't work as it should, can you please fix it?

“Car was parked and fine when I returned 3 days laters, no complaints there.
The instructions for parkings states that the printed ticket will include your parking reference number and car registration.
When I arrived my ticket did not print this.
I looked online to find a contact number for the parking but couldn't find anything. If there is one, or an email address, it's not easy to find. Replying to the parking confirmation email did not work.
Edinburgh airport Facebook messenger robot was useless and couldn't even answer my issue correctly.
This caused unnecessary stress whilst travelling and away. There should be an easy way to submit concerns and get answers.”

As per our Car Park FAQs page, should the system fail to recognise your vehicle or if the barrier does not raise for you automatically when you arrive at the airport, press the intercom for assistance and have your booking reference on hand.
If the barrier doesn't raise automatically after you insert your parking ticket on exit, this means the system has failed to recognise your vehicle on entry and you will be presented with an incorrect additional charge. In this situation we advise to press the intercom buzzer for assistance and to have your booking reference or car registration number on hand.

“1st time using the parking at the airport, excellent service all the way through to the end. Website easy to use, parking right next to the departures which is ideal when you have kids in tow. Take a ticket when you go in, remember to keep it safe, pop the ticket on the way out back into the machine as you leave and off you go.”
