“Pre booked and payed £43 for 7 days. Due to unforeseen circumstances I arrived back 36 hours late. Understandably I understood I needed to pay an excess for the 36 hours but I was charged £110 to leave the car park . I have contacted Edinburgh airport regarding this through the correct channels but they have not responded for over a week. This is totally unacceptable and quite honestly this charge is robbery - £110 for 36 hours !!!

“I have just used the parking at Edinburgh airport for the first time and found it easy to navigate and reasonably priced. There was a problem with the barrier on exiting and I had to pay to get out. I followed it up the next day and found the customer support team very understanding and they refunded immediately.
A great service.”
“Paid in advance for 12 days parking £66 approx. Printed booking reference and details. Online booking process said we would get a confirmation email. No email came. Checked our booking online and could see we had booked so no problem. When we tried to exit parking barrier said we needed to pay £411. Fortunately someone answered when we pressed help buzzer on barrier and checked our booking against car registration and opened barrier. Stress we do not need. Very poor service.”

It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes.
I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.

I was dismayed when a charge of £270.00
Was asked despite prepayment, if this was not explained to me by that this may occur by a friend on recommendation it may catch unsuspecting customers in paying the charge.”
