“As a regular user I’m sorry to have to write this review. Booked surface in advance, arrived around noon on January 2nd car park full spent 15 mins trying to find a place and only got one when others departed. Cars parked in verges etc. On departure after 4 weeks away, I’m afraid it didn’t improve put my ticket in the machine at the exit and for the third time in 6 months my registration number wasn’t recognised and was asked for over £1000, So, then had to use the intercom system to be told their system didn’t recognise my registration AGAIN, come on NCP please resolve your ANPR system as this is continually frustrating, I can’t be the only user with this problem and my registration is recognised at Glasgow Airport. And, please, don’t ask me to go to customer service on arrival if it’s not recognised, it’s really up to NCP to resolve their ANPR problem.”

I’m sorry to hear that you found it difficult to find a space in our car park. If ever faced with the same problem in future, please ring the intercom at the exit barrier and our team will provide a suitable alternative.
It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes.

“Access to the terminal from surface parking is not easy right now - and more so when returning. Edinburgh airport seems determined to make arriving by car hard work. Lobbying Edinburgh City Council to resurface the roundabout on the road out heading away from Edinburgh which is full of dangerous craters.”
