“I was really disappointed with this which I’m sad to say as I really like Dr Sam, her advice and her other products. But firstly it leaves such a strong white cast. No matter what I do it shows. I tried using it over the flawless moisturiser and then just by itself but you can still see the cast. But I think the worst thing for me is it makes your skin look so greasy. I have combination, blemish prone skin so often look a bit shiny later in the day but this made my skin look so greasy from the moment I applied it. It also left a sticky feeling on my face and made my eyes sting. This was all whilst using a third of the recommended dose so I dread to think what I would look like if I put on three pumps as per the instructions. Pros are it did not cause me to have break outs which is a first for me as I’ve never found a sun cream that doesn’t give me spots. I’m tempted to try Gossamer but I believe this one is supposed to be better if you have blemish prone skin. Plus at this price I would expect better. It’s tough though because I do reckon this gives really good sun protection.”
“I wrote a review before on Flawless Daily Sunscreen and then my experience was mixed on this product. It took too long to absorb and tried La Roche-Posay 50+ after, one of the best on the market, I understand. Only then did I realise the difference in results and quality between those two products. I couldn't wait to finish La Roche-Posay 50+ and go back to Dr. Sam's sunscreen, which evened up my skin and controlled my skin's oil production (I have combination skin and constantly had to use tissue to remove it when using La Roche-Posay 50+). The Flawless Sunscreen worked much better the second time; it absorbed faster, easier, controlled oil production so well, I no longer had to check my face in the mirror every hour like with La Roche-Posay 50+, and my skin looked great. A huge difference in results and feel from other products. I guess the product application has to be done in stages rather than all 3 pumps in one go. I've just started to use Gossamer because it's designed more for skin with rosacea tendencies. I like both. I pretty much have all Dr. Sam's products and they are the only ones I use. I've seen the difference and it's at another level. I'm grateful those products exist :-).”
“My HG sunscreen is being discontinued so I have been searching for a new one. I always wear sunscreen and had high hopes for this. I bought two bottles based on the reviews. Sadly, my skin began to feel prickly within 15 minutes of application so I removed it and used my regular SPF. I have returned the unused bottle and passed on the used one to a friend who has had skin cancer. I hope it works for her. I do like the night serum and cleanser.”
“I found this thick and stung my eye a bit, but it was the best until Gossamer came out! This might be better for drier skin but for me it was too heavy.”
“I think it's a good product for skin who well tolerate chemical suncream, but unfortunately my skin can't. After use my skin went very red and burning.”
