“Plenty of rest/play areas: Multiple playgrounds, a splash park, indoor soft‑play and stroller rental make it ideal for families with kids. Single‑day ticket includes return entry for 12 months (smart for families)”
“Buying the tickets from Day out with the kids was easy and quick, can't fault them.
But the actual zoo was terrible ... we walked for an hour and only saw 2 giraffes in a incredibly smelly hall, a sad rinocerus, some zebra and some lizards, all the other cages were empty. This as you can imagine upset us, so we gave up walking in vain as we were afraid we would just be walking to see trees and plants, as the animals were sparse, might as well call it a botanical garden with a few animals dotted around.”
“Honestly, we've been proper disappointed,
We've expected to see leopards,tigers....where they all gone!??
Everything we saw : 4 zebras,10 monkeys,2 giraffe,1 rhino,bugs and probably 15 penguins, that's all!!!!!
Really, after 40 minutes we've spent I wanted to go home.
Everything is poor maintained with a bad smelling and rubbish everywhere..”
“Overall we enjoyed our day at Twycross Zoo, during May half term, although we spent over 30 minutes queuing for entry (this was in the advance bookings queue), and a fair few enclosures were empty (animals not out of view, but enclosure empty)
It's a convenient zoo for us to visit, and the animals we saw seemed content and taken care of.”
“Great experience at Twycross Zoo. Really friendly staff with a great range of animals and facilities for all ages, especially the younger ones. Also love that you can go again for free, as part of your membership. Will definitely be back!”
