“A lovely zoo, I went to as a child myself now I’m taking my child full circle moment. It’s not too big where you feel it’s hard to walk around and see everything. Lots of places to have a picnic or buy food to eat there. Variety of animals big and small. Definitely recommend a visit if you’ve never been before.”
“Enjoyed the zoo and discovery land hoped for a wider selection of animals and more staff to provide insight on the animals. But liked the layout and mix of real and faux animal displays”
“Great experience!
I went to purchase 3 twycross zoo tickets the day before we wanted to go. If I booked directly through there website it would have cost me £89. I had never heard of day out with the kids before, It popped up on my maps when searching twycross zoo. I was able to purchase 3 tickets for £66.
The tickets are then valid for a whole year of free entry. It’s a lovely place, lots to see! we visited on a Monday and it was very quiet which was great as you could really appreciate the animals. I read reviews saying they didn’t see many animals. It did feel like that at one point as there where 4 large enclosures that where empty. You can go inside to see the animals! The only downside for me was the food stalls were closed, only a Costa to buy food from. Cant complain about it as it was a cold and quiet day.”
“We all was Very Disapointed ,having to pay for parking and small rides.we went for the monkeys half the monkeys was not home lol .it used to be brilliant place to go but not anymore .only good part was fish and chips but over priced .Looks like they are spending too much on these plastic lights allover the place and over staffed no wonder it costs alot .felt sorry for the rino they looked so sad in there small enclosure NO elephants thats bizzare NEVER AGAIN .PS you need plenty of money here to visit”
“Over the years we’ve been to Twycross Zoo many many times, from way back when they had the’ TV chimps’.
From my last visit this month, I found that the zoo in general is looking a bit ‘tired’ these days, and I fully understand that times are financially a lot harder than they used to be, with the cost of everything going up.
My impression was that the Zoo must be really struggling to get by. I hope that they can keep on going and provide families and children a great day out! It would be a shame if it had to close as my grandchildren always love to go there.”
“Great day out with my Daughers. She loved the animals and unexpected lego statues of all of the animals. Looking forward to making the most of our annual ticket”
