The installation was a little bit confusing at first, but after watching Bofi's video on short shifters, it was made clear and was actually very easy to install. The short shifter has a great feel and with a new shift boot from Jass Performace, really stands out. I'd definitely recommend this part for a cleaner, more precise shift feel.

Install for the NB requires a fair bit of encouragement with one of two shifter pins so it'll fit, but rebuilding the shifter while also making it a shorter throw makes it feel fresh and precise. I also bought OEM shifter parts instead of what was included with this kit just for piece of mind, so can't speak to the quality of those. For something you'll be using so often, this short shifter is the best bang-for-your-buck upgrade you can do. Even better if you have a weighted shift knob, too.

Not the easiest fit, but once you get it in it really does make the shifts shorter, so can achieve what you want on a budget with this kit. Yeah and if you have an nb, dont be afraid, just hammer that bolt at the back ;)

Install took a bit of searching what goes where but was managable! Combined with a bronze lower bushing, oem ball alignment bushing and oem wavy washers/ball bushings the shifts are really nice, short and tight! Would have given 5 stars if there were some sort of directions included.

Seems nice and sturdy and the shift is firm and precise

Decent shifter kit, probably a 30/40% shorter shift. Can be a bit harder to get into gear, but I'd say that's an expected tradeoff

Bought for 2004 1.8vvt NB. No real instructions (not that you need them). But I looked online (you tube). And there is a few different ways of fitting. Also I had 2 notches in the top of my box. Which one you have to nock and leave out the way. Other than that. Works real nice.
