Manzanilla Aurora Sherry (100% Palomino Grapes, 8-10 years old) Reviews

Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

The Manzanilla Aurora Sherry carries a rich history, named after Aurora Ambrosse Lacave, a pioneering female executive in the sherry trade from SanlĂșcar de Barrameda. This wine, introduced in 1907, was owned by her after her husband's death in 1911. The bodega is now under the ownership of Bodegas Yuste, with Francisco Yuste producing Manzanilla wines for over 25 years. The solera of Aurora consists of eight stages, resulting in a Manzanilla aged 8-10 years. The wine is bottled with minimal treatment, preserving its unique character.

Manzanilla is my favourite type of sherry so I tried a lot of different ones and this is definitely one of my favourites. Perfect as an aperitif as not too salty, not too dry and not too strong.
