“I was really looking forward to this joint as Greek I am well experienced with all young meats whenever I can find. I found this sucking-pig joint under-whelming. I followed the cooking instructions as well as a thermometer to validate and whilst the cracking was great (removed when cooked and crisped up on a wire rack whilst resting) the meat itself was tough. As it was rolled the fat on the inside had not rendered and was inedible. The cooking time of 1hr40min seemed about right for the weight as a joint however if I was to buy again to give it another go I would remove the string and cook it flat with fat side up on the veg along with some seasoning. The service from Basco was 5* even though had missing items from the delivery which were resolved very swiftly.”

“Delighted to find this special suckling pig, preoared and enough yo share with extended family on my wife's birthday . It brought back a taste of gourmet northern Spain, where we last had sukling pig on a special holiday . Crackling crunchy yet melt in the mouth . Meat so tender and it fed 10 ....well... Planning the next occasion......!!”
