Amazing...2nd time ordering this item first occasion being for Christmas therefore cooked in oven was a hit with everyone. This time ordered to cook on our new spit roast attachment to bbq. Cooked to perfection,will definitely be ordering again perhaps when next on special offer as not the cheapest.

This was the second little piggy wiggy I have had from you - a slight twinge of guilt from my guests when they see this wrinkled baby in the flesh ….. but oh when it’s cooked ! - I have to fend them of with a sticky stick whilst it rests. Bloody delicious!

I was really looking forward to this joint as Greek I am well experienced with all young meats whenever I can find. I found this sucking-pig joint under-whelming. I followed the cooking instructions as well as a thermometer to validate and whilst the cracking was great (removed when cooked and crisped up on a wire rack whilst resting) the meat itself was tough. As it was rolled the fat on the inside had not rendered and was inedible. The cooking time of 1hr40min seemed about right for the weight as a joint however if I was to buy again to give it another go I would remove the string and cook it flat with fat side up on the veg along with some seasoning. The service from Basco was 5* even though had missing items from the delivery which were resolved very swiftly.

So flavoursome -melt in in the mouth meat with a light crispy crackling. Blink an you miss a chance at seconds!

Delighted to find this special suckling pig, preoared and enough yo share with extended family on my wife's birthday . It brought back a taste of gourmet northern Spain, where we last had sukling pig on a special holiday . Crackling crunchy yet melt in the mouth . Meat so tender and it fed 10 ....well... Planning the next occasion......!!
