It might just be me but I wasn't keen on the taste and the rest of the flour went in the bin

Bought for the first time. Gorgeous flour - looks good, tastes fab! I am relatively new to making bread and made three loaves somewhat unconventionally, and all turned out great and tasted wonderful. I used 400g of this flour, and 100g white Italian, organic. Will definitely buy again, and would definitely recommend! I didn't want a sweet tasting granary loaf, and this isn't. Many thanks!

The clue is in the name - 'Maltstar' it calls itself and a star of a malty flour it is!

I use this to make all sorts of malted breads. It makes a great "Granary" with some malted wheat flakes (or roasted barley flakes) and a fantastic seeded granary. In terms of flavour, IMHO it just beats Bachledre and Duchy Original Organic Malted blends.

Made my best ever granary style loaf with this Dorset produced flour, with a terrific crust thanks to baking in my La Cloche. Very pleased!
