I use this to make all sorts of malted breads. It makes a great "Granary" with some malted wheat flakes (or roasted barley flakes) and a fantastic seeded granary. In terms of flavour, IMHO it just beats Bachledre and Duchy Original Organic Malted blends.

This makes the most tasty bread, either alone or mixed with other flours. My favourite is half and half with Stiates plain unbleached, or I add 60g of malt flour for a really malty taste. A must have for me.

Very nice quality flour which makes a lovely malted loaf in the bread machine. Purchase in bulk to bring the price down per bag.

Made my best ever granary style loaf with this Dorset produced flour, with a terrific crust thanks to baking in my La Cloche. Very pleased!

Compared back to back with Matthews Cotswold Crunch we find the Maltstar a more subtle tasting bread, very enjoyable. Only small criticism is the lack of guidance in terms of hydration.
