“Puchased these as a replacement for use in a domestic environment, got fed up with scales that I had to keep replacing batteries on (Who thought button cells were a good idea for scales!). These scales use both AA cells and an external power supply, perfect for heavy usage. They are stable in their weighing , no more fluttering weights. The only negative is the rather stupid design of the secondary button protectors. The scales have a robust liftup cover to protect the display and buttons from spillage, but come with 2 flimsy pieces of plastic to go over the buttons themselves to reduce the long term wear and tear on the buttons, but they do not have any means of keeping them in place, it was a definate after thought. I have dealt with this by use of a thin strip of double side tape along the top edge to hold it in place. A part for this minor issue this is an excellent piece of kitchen equipment, well worth the price.”
