“This review only concerns its use for proving dough - haven’t used it as a slow cooker. It appears to be the only suitable product on the market for domestic use. The product is well-made and works as advertized, providing a reliable method for proving - really helpful in a country cottage where we do not have much warmth available on winter days. With care the proofer will accommodate a large bowl of dough and, subsequently (if you purchase the additional shelf) two good-sized bannetons for sourdough loaves. I have also managed to fit in two trays of sourdough rolls for proving. Haven’t given it 5 stars because it could do with being a little larger and, as with so many modern things, it is made of plastic. Tip: The proofer folds away neatly for storage but if you do not have a spare cupboard shelf, retain the box in which it arrives.”
“I bought this for my partner's birthday and he loves it . He bakes a lot of Sourdough and it's perfect for warming the culture as well as proofing the dough . Delivery was prompt . It folds down nicely and if we had an extra draw ,it would fit in. However, its used much that having it on the counter is fine. No problems, so far ! Very happy.”
