“This is a fantastic piece of kit and has enabled me to improve my sourdough bread baking. It gives me more flexibility, as I can bake both boules and batards with an impressive oven spring. I bake predominantly Forkish style sourdough bread and the full size loaves in either shape fit nicely in this cloche.

“I used the Spun Iron Cloche for the first time, baking a sourdough loaf and was very pleased with the rise of the bake and even colour of the crust. I had re-seasoned the cloche as per instruction as I have used Netherton Foundry loaf tins before with good results. With my La Sassafras cloche, the lid wasn't evenly married to the base and the resultant bread was not evenly baked.
