“When I received my baking cloche it came with instruction about how to season the cloche, which I duly did, but having said that the results I have achieved so far have been less that I expected when I brought the cloche and the reviews I read.”
“We bought one for our holiday home, and realised we needed one at home too. So easy to use, creates a brilliant crumb/crust every time. BakeryBits delivered amazingly fast (to Japan) and absolutely everything we can think of for our baking is available, and much more. We'll be back, when we get a bigger kitchen! Thank you”

“I love it. No more messing about with trays of water and spray bottles. A little 'brick' oven in my oven. I bake nearly all sourdough. The most noticeable improvement for me is in the crust, firstly, I now get those all important ears, but secondly whilst still getting a dark ( as long as you remove the cover part way), crackly, crispy crust, it is a much thinner crust, one you can actually get your teeth through. My only gripe ( and I have the oblong version too), is that my preferred loaf shape is oval and whilst I can bake an oval loaf in this, it tends to spread too much sideways. I wish they made an oval one. This is also true of a smaller boule. These bakers work best when the dough pretty much fills the space, as they are forced to rise up rather than out. So a loaf made with 1kg of flour in a boule shape will produce the best result. I find a loaf that size too big for my bread knife and too awkward a shape for the toaster. However, that is really a small gripe and it produces far superior results to baking without it, whatever size the loaf.”
