This is my second batch - so probably only used about 6kg so far. It is a good flour - possibly needs a mix to really deliver optimum flavour for sourdough.

This flour has been great for my sourdough bread. It’s the same flour used by many professional bakers, so this is no surprise!

I tried out bakery bits based on a recommendation in James Morton's baking book. Quite a lot of items are out of stock on their website but on 3 March I ordered some flour in a. small quantity as a test as I am looking for a regular supplier for our main catering set up. The website indicates fast delivery but is misleading as others have said. After a while I chased by email, and the auto response says they will reply in 2 days. No reply at all. I chased by phone on 11 March and was told, somewhat off handedly, that they are busy, as if that is somehow my problem. However, they would despatch by DPD for next day delivery. On the 12th I get a Bakery Bits / DPD email saying "sorry to have missed you". In reality no delivery attempt was made - as was evident from CCTV and absence of calls on the recorded gate intercom line. Confronting the DPD driver today he admitted this. Bakery Bits ignored email yesterday. Frankly, Bakery Bits have absolutely dreadful customer service for internet customers, poor email handling and poor telephone procedures. To thrive this business will need to get its act together and deal with its supply chain. Not recommended that you risk much money here or buy anything that you need for restaurant or bakery use quickly. Disappointing. I might try them one more time to see if it was an aberration or just a business that is badly organised.
