The oven takes a bit longer to reach the desired temperature as others have mentioned but it’s an issue in regards to the results. There was a little issue with one delivery (independent from Bakery bits) but this was fixed quickly so you can expect excellent customer service if needed.”

“This granite stone is great and really has propelled my bread making to the next level. My loafs rise much better and I am also able to bake at slightly higher temperatures now. I certainly would not want to go back to baking trays, not just because thin metal trays could never compete with the effect of a baking stone but also because I always felt worried about baking trays and their chemical coating come off during baking and ending up in my food.

“Works very well. After a good number of bakings it has been durable (unlike the ceramic stone I had previously that fell apart in my hands after a couple of times in the oven). It fits my larger oven perfectly, which gives a good area to bake on. Perfect for all types of out of tin bread baking - especially pizzas and sourdoughs. It is also easy to clean (you may need to use your scraper to remove some baked-on spillages (e.g. from Pizza). Be careful to measure your oven carefully before ordering and be warned that, as it is solid granite, it is very heavy (the larger stone must be 5 kg or so), so a peel to put your loaves in and out is also recommended. But no complaints.”
