I’ve been told that the cane bannetons are not the best for coughs that are wet due to the slight gaps. Maybe should have bought the wood pulp ones instead Only time will tell!”

After a lot of research on bannetons, I've come across these ones and have used them a couple of times already. Very happy! Although the liner is a cotton muslin (I wouldn't have minded a linen one; also, it is not mentioned in the description at all), it does the job perfectly well - I used a little bit of corn flour to prevent any undesirable stickiness of the dough, as I had quite disastrous results when using a tea cloth and a bowl before, and the dough slid out beautifully.”
