Great basket for proving sourdough. Dusted with rye flour the dough doesn’t stick and just falls out of the basket once proving is complete. I haven’t used the liner and the basket is easy to clean with a small brush. Really pleased with my purchase. Good size for loaf with 500g of flour. I also have the 1.5 kg for making larger loaves.

I’m a relatively new sourdough baker, but using this banneton made all the difference versus the bowls and teatowels I was using before! It gives a loaf such a lovely spiral pattern and a perfect round shape. Would recommend to any baker, new or experienced.

Recommended! I bought two 1kg round bannetons from Bakery Bits. Ordering and delivery was quick and easy. I've used the bannetons several times now and get exactly what I hoped for: well shaped and nicely marked loaves. I usually make 900g loaves and once they have risen they fill up the bannetons to the top with a kind of 'meniscus' rising above it.

Make such a difference making sourdough. I have bought the smaller ones previously. You have to make sure you flour them well. I spray VERY lightly with water before flouring. They can be fiddly to clean but that can be solved using the special brush from BakeryBits
