“My initial response, when I opened the box, was disappointment. The bannetons had been described as 'Heavy Duty' and what I received, in my mind, didn't fit that description. The lame, also, seems seriously over-priced for what one gets. Cheap, flimsy plastic, costing £12.35 and no extra blades, even.
That said, the bannetons performed perfectly. From the way my high-hydration dough released, the lining might have been non-stick. A pleasure to use and, on reflection, how heavy do they need to be?
I have used the cloche once, so far, and it did everything that was promised for it.
I'm sorry I couldn't make it five stars, but the lame really let you down. I will be back - assuming you'll let me.

“Arrived pretty quickly despite the disruption caused by the snowy conditions at the time. Have used the banetton already. Much better than my existing one made from fibre ad really too shallow.”
“These 1 kg heavy duty baskets are perfect for making my sourdough loaves which stoneground strong white flour and 100gms stoneground whole Rye flour make using 400gms., 100gms Rye leavain and approx. 450gms water .If, you still haven't cracked the perfect sourdough (who has?) with these babies then maybe you could do worse than to purchase the brilliant book 'Sourdough' by or 'Sourdough School' by Vanessa or ideally both. These are fantastic books also from 'Bakery Bits'. Also, if I may say, unless one has the perfect oven, a 'Cloche' is a must and really does make all the difference. These guys have the lot and everything one could possibly need, including an amazing range of really great various flours plus great service and advice.”

“Heavy duty basket with stitched-in linen liner. I put plenty of flour all over the inside and my proving dough did not stick to it. Just what I wanted. Thanks.”
