“I had tried barley flour before and liked the softness it gave to the crumb. The flavour was better after toasting the flour but this particular malted version is extraordinary! The initial aroma is reminiscent almost of chocolate and the colour very dense but (at 3%) the flavour and colour enhanced my 40% wholemeal loaf beautifully. I am intending to try some in one or two of my other recipes.
