“I purchased this stand for my new monitor speakers. Shipping was fast and arrived when AA said it would. The shipping box was taped and strapped.
What I like about the stand: First off it is all metal. Second it is heavy. My wife and I have three cats. It is necessary to have a stand that will not tip over if a cats rubs on it.
I replaced older less expensive tower Klipsch speakers. What I did not anticipate is how much light is now in the room. I attribute this to the design of the stand. Having three metal tubes allows more reflected light giving the room an airy feeling.
Things I think could be better. My first attempt to assemble the stands showed me the quality control could be better. I attached the metal supports to the base. I then tried to attached the top plate to the metal tubes. The holes in the top plate did not line up with the metal tubes. I was not impressed. This is clearly a lack of quality control in the Chinese factory. I loosened the metal tubes on the bottom plate to loosely attach the top plate. This method worked. The instructions in the box made no mention of this fact. Again another oversight.
The second issue that should not happen is the top plate on one of the stands was not plum to the bottom plate. The top plate was skewed about 5 degrees to the right. Again this does not affect the function of the stand but it should not happen if there is sufficient quality control in the factory.
The final issue is with the underside of the bottom plate. The stands are made to use carpet spikes for floors with carpeting. There is no concern for those of us with wood or other hard floors. Fortunately I had a set of self-sticking rubber feet I attached to the crossbeams on each bottom plate. These feet keep the stand from scratching the floor as well as sliding across the floor. I would think some engineer or marketing guy would have thought to toss in $2 bucks of rubber feet for hard floors.
Conclusion: For all of my nitpicking I like the stands. I would buy them again.”
“I purchased these for my Andrew Jones designed Pioneer bookshelf speakers for a secondary analog system in my office. They are well built and easy to assemble. Just pay attention to which and where you install the legs for threading your cables through. I did not and had to reassemble.
My only wish was for holes in the base to attach my speakers but perhaps that is not needed.
Otherwise, they could be 5 stars for me.”
