“Grip on the male end is excellent. Grip on the female end is better than most, but still prone to mild unseating, as this type of plug often does. The cable is well made.
I've made too many changes lately to comment specifically on the sonic contributions of the Pangea Audio AC 14XL MK 2 - but overall, my system has gravitated to a smoothly coherent presentation exhibiting hints of bass slam. Very nice!

“I recently purchased a 2 meter version of this cable from Audio Advisor. I have been a power cable sceptic for many years, and this is the first one that I have tried. I am using it on my Velodyne DD subwoofer, which is self-powered by a 1200 watt amp rated at 12 amps. I noticed that the generic power cord that came with it is rated for only 10 amps, which provided me with an excuse to try a power cable with a higher amperage rating. Even though Pangea markets this cable for source components, I felt that the 12 amp rating of my sub did not indicate that I would need a 20 amp cable. Well, after a day of run-in I have already noticed a warmer, smoother, and more natural sound coming from the sub. I am not an electrical engineer, but I imagine that the difference between the 'sound' of this cable vs. the original is the use of individually isolated conductor elements in place of thin wire strands wound together in a spiraled bundle. I'm not sure whether this version of the AC 14 is somehow better than the other, less expensive versions. The large, metal clad connectors do seem like overkill. I may be wrong about that. But I am now looking forward to buying an AC 14 for my amplifier.”

“For years I have used a Van Den Hul Mainserver Hybrid power cord on different source components. It's always been clear, clean and detailed. But in shopping around for a power cord for my amp, i found this one. I already have a Pangea usb xl for my dac and love it , so I put this on my dac as well. This PC ads weight, detail, and rounds off the edges I didn't know were there. Sound stage is more populated then before. Everything is less fatiguing and more enjoyable.
