4.8 Rating 42 Reviews
parasound's reputation is well earned. this unit is sturdily built, it remained cool as if it was not working and it's power supply was effortless. im looking forward to purchasing another parasound amp.

Be patient with it, give it a few weeks.... I think after that you will not be disappointed. If it hums when you install it it's probably from your cable box you can get a filter for about 6 bucks on Amazon

I've had this Amp for about 3 months now, so it's well broken in. The result? Fantastic! I have this paired with an old Carver Pre Amp a pair of B&W CM10 s2's (VERY power hungry speakers) and an SVS Sub. I've spent the past 2 years searching and demo-ing 5 different amplifiers, some of them costing over 4 times the price - they can't hold a candle to the sound and power of this amp. The difference was immediate substantially noticeable. In terms of raw power? Balls to the wall solid! All the way through the entire audio spectrum. And even after running it hard for over two hours at a time, barely even warm (overheating can degrade the sound, and ultimately cut short the life span of even the world's best amps). Music REALLY comes to life! You're gonna want to pull out every recording you ever bought and listen to them all over again! In terms of sound QUALITY - the sound field is very open, warm and detailed, with excellent imaging and deep and wide soundstage, even through very high listening levels. Again, the kind of sound you'd expect from a $6000 Tube Amp! Keep in mind, this is NOT a "Home Theater" amp - it is built for MUSIC, and it sounds amazing. It's nice when all the waiting and research really pays off.

Very happy with this amp. I wanted a 2 channel only amp for a stereo setup. It's really smooth and clean and powerful. Drives my SVS's well. It has the right amount of power for the price, so very happy with it.

cleaned up the sound and restored the bass lost because temporary amplifier was under powered. I really wanted the halo, but I will find something else to by with the $2k that this saved me.

I am running them on my Magneplaner speakers. I was using a tube amp that sounded very good but just didn't seem to have enough power to satisfy me. Next I had a high current AB amp that had the power but ran just too hot for my liking. The 2250 v.2 although not really classified as high current was close enough. 400 watts at 4 ohms and 45 amps seemed ample to me. The 2250 sounds great to my ears and barely gets warm. I'm a very happy camper. Hats off to Parasound,...........Wayne
