“This is a great amp, plenty of power to drive my restored 4ohm Cerwin Vega's. Lush, wide sound stage and power for days. I love having 2 sets of speaker inputs and will be adding a set of restored EPI M50's on the B pair to give me 2 sets of speakers in one room to choose from.
And good Lord this thing is a beast - all metal case, weighs in at close to 45lbs. It's a big amp and really drives my speakers with authority. I will say it needs a few days to burn in. It was a little harsh right out of the box, but has smoothed out tremendously and now I'm loving it.
I have it paired with a Parasound 2100 Classic preamp, but I'm sure any good quality preamp would work great with it.
This is an under rated amp and it a fantastic deal for the money. Highly recommended!!!”
“this is my first amp used as separate, I am using it with marantz 6013 running Definitve tech 9060 towers, I am very impressed with clean power of amp, only at this site I have read about triggering issue or left channel issue, I am very impressed with on and off system, I am not using trigger, as soon as there is sound from AVR the amp turns on and it turns off with any issue also. I hope I don't need trigger cable as my amp is on the other side of long cabinet. I went with Parasound due to good reviews everywhere I checked, most people are very happy with it, I hope no issues with this amp as taking it out of shelf and shipping back will be extremely difficult for me due to back issues, I got help to drag this to basement and installed in cabinet.
I had some issue with hum first but after running my Direct tv coax cable through Panamax power conditioner coax solved the problem, I do not hear any buzz or hum through speakers, it is super quiet. it is on open shelf It is running very cool, I checked it after few movies, my basement temp is mostly between 67 to 70 all year round. i did buy it from other parasound online store.”

“The Parasound New Classic 2250 v.2 power amplifier solved a problem I had with power-hungry speakers in a remote zone. This amp happily drives speakers that overheated other amps. The back panel controls make it simple to optimize for various speakers. Audio-sensing power-on is perfect for a remote zone pre-out. It runs cool and doesn't call attention to itself. For what it costs at Audio Advisor I think i's an outstanding amplifier and I'd buy another one.”
“I tried running a pair of Polk Audio A9's with a Marantz SR5013 and they sounded rather lifeless. Fine in home theater mode, but not great when listening to stereo music. This amplifier brought the speakers to life. Greatly enhanced sound stage and warm, full bass. I was skeptical that this would really make that much of a difference, but I absolutely love the result.”
“This is an excellent amplifier and a steal at its current price. I have Magnepan MGIIIa Magneplanar speakers and was looking for a cost- effective solution to drive them after my 35-year old SAE MarkIIICM (200 x 2 Watts) finally failed in one channel. The Maggies require a high-current amplifier with substantial power. The 275 x 2 Watt rating of this New Classic amplifier, with a maximum current output of 45 amps, was very attractive and it had no difficulty in driving the Magneplanars. After a 2-3 month break in period the sound had improved dramatically, however, I was still looking for that last little bit of clarity and sweetness that a top level Class-A amplifier provides. I could have lived satisfactorily with this amplifier but, when my wife said I could buy the A21+, I jumped. Keep in mind that the A21+ costs more than three times as much. The New Classic 2250v2 still seems a bargain. I have kept the amplifier and in the future I will use it to power an additional DWM bass panel that I intend to add to my Maggies.”
