“Do not book this even if they are giving it away for free, if I could give it 0 stars I would. So my fiancé and I arrived at this hotel at about 8pm after about a 4 hour drive. We walked into reception to find it completely empty. A man in a suit then appeared from the bar area and informed us that this hotel is closed for a refurbishment and as such we couldn’t stay there. They had booked us into an alternate hotel 15 minutes away WITHOUT EVEN TELLING US IN ADVANCE. Absolute shambles.”
“This hotel is adequate for a stay prior to a flight from terminal 3 Heathrow. It is easy to find from the M25 and easy to get to the short term car park for car park services. The restaurant was freezing when we stayed, we had to get our coats for the evening meal. The room was clean and ok. The price was right for us so it suited our travel plans.”

No one from Mercure or APH has bothered to tell us, despite the hotel being closed for 3 days due to maintenance issues. Poor”
“Ideally located and we arrived at approximately mid afternoon and decided to have a drink in the bar, the hotel was so cold we checked on the temperature and it was 3 degrees !!! We sat there with coats and commented to the bar staff , we finished our drink and went to our room ( nice and warm) showered and changed ready to have an evening meal in the restaurant. At 6pm we sat down in the restaurant and the food was of a good standard, the temperature was 2 degrees at this point !! I walked over to the radiators in the main lobby and they were barely on, my wife asked at the main reception why was it so cold , the response was there is a problem with the heating and this is why I have my own personal heater at my feet, she then passed this onto management who in turn kept approaching the “ hot air dispensers” and basically coming to the conclusion that there was little heat , we both sat in our big think coats as did virtually everyone else in the restaurant and attempted to eat our food, two couples came in to the restaurant and walked back out after sitting down and seeing everyone else in coats ! Not impressed at all . )”
