“On the approach to Heathrow, as instructed by their email guidelines, we called when we thought that we were 30 minutes away and the gentleman on the phone seemed bemused that I had called, and told me to go to the designated meeting place. On arriving at the meeting place, it was not apparent that Edward Lloyd worked from the location, unlike the other providers. It seemed like pure luck that I managed to locate the relevant parking rep as he wasn't wearing anything that denoted who he worked for. When I mentioned that i'd called, he was completely unaware. He reiterated that I need to call on landing, and again once we had retrieved our baggage and that he may meet us out of the front of the terminal if it was easier.
We landed at 0615hrs on the day of our return and having docked with the airbridge I called the number I had used when we flew out at 0629hrs, and the call went to voicemail after a few rings. I left a message leaving my name and the flight I was on with the reference number explaining we had landed and that I would call once we had retrieved our bags. We retrieved our bags and then called again at 0703hrs, again leaving a message and asking for a return call. We stayed outside the front of the terminal while constantly calling the number for around 20 minutes, before conceding and making our way to the location where we dropped the car off. In total, I called the from the instructions 54 up until approx. 0825hrs, and my wife called 21 times. In the end my wife called the number on WhatsApp and immediately got through to someone who said that they would contact the driver retrieving my car. After hearing nothing for 20 minutes I called back and he said the driver had been calling, but the number he had was calling was different from the one I had given! After some to and fro with the driver who had eventually got in touch, he arrived with my car at around 0840hrs. When he showed me his phone, the number he had called was the number I currently have.
I have used various APH car parks at Manchester Airport (M+G, Sharston)and never had such chaotic or incompetent service. We had been travelling from Cincinnati since 1130hrs the day before and to receive this kind of service, wondering if your car was going to arrive, waiting nearly 2 hrs for our car, with the prospect of a 4+ hour journey is truly unacceptable. Despite the fact that we may not have paid top dollar, you would expect a far better level of service. Needless to say, I will never drive to Heathrow again, and definitely not use any parking services there. It is a real shame that I regard APH as a great provider, and feel that you are being let down by these cowboys and charlatans!”
“The company is bad they didnt show up at the Heathrow parking and I am dealing with a refund process hopefully I can recover the money, but I had to pay extra for a new parking.”
“Like a number of others I didn’t appreciate that you had to pay entry and exit fees of £7.50 in addition to the quoted cost. Other companies do not operate on this basis, they include these fees and no surprises.
The agent who collected the vehicle from our entry to the car park was around 15 minutes late. Not a great start.”
“Received a good service as part of my recent booking. However it came as a surprise that I needed to pay for the car park fee upon drop off and return to collect. I found this written in my confirmation post booking in the small print, however this wasn’t clear during the booking process.”
