“Holiday cancelled due to hurricane. All other companies no issue with refunds. APH would not do this.
Booking made for 2 weeks l as ter with purple parking who offer the same service at a better price with added production of cancellation cover”
“We previously used this car park several times and rated it very highly but a few weeks ago we had to queue for so long to hand our keys in we almost missed our flight despite arriving 2.5 hours prior to our flight time. I don't think we will be using this car park again”
“I have used the Silver Zone parking a number of times in the past with no major issues, however, our last trip there in mid-September was a disaster. We arrived at 3.50 am for a 6.10 am flight which I wrongly thought would be ample time to get to the airport and check in luggage and pass through security as it wasn't peak holiday time and the schools had returned.
When we arrived there was a queue to get into the car park so we didn't actually get to park the car until 4.00 am. There was then a large queue to check in our keys, 4.20 am. We then had to queue outside in the freezing cold for nearly an hour to catch one of the only 2 buses running, which meant we didn't actually get to the airport until 5.20 am. If we didn't have heavy luggage it would have been quicker to walk to the airport than wait for the shuttle bus. Once in the airport, we then had 10 mins before luggage check-in closed which due to the queue for that meant we missed out flight. As we couldn't get a flight until the next day we not only had to pay for another flight but book into the Hilton at the airport. Taking into account the extra cost of the flight, the hotel, the 1 day lost car hire and accommodation cost at the other end not to mention the inconvenience the whole thing cost us an additional £500.
They must have known how many cars/people were expected so why did they not put on extra buses
They clearly use a fixed number of buses they use, i.e two regardless of the demand. I fly from Bristol a few times a year but cannot risk this happening again so will not be using silver zone airport parking again.”
“I found Bristol Airport Silver Zone parking very easy to negotiate and the staff were very helpful. The only issue was that when I arrived at the car park to check in at 4AM it was extremely busy. There also appeared to be a lack of buses, and after checking in I queued for about 10 minutes, with the queue eventually going all around the building. However 2 buses arrived together and the majority of customers were cleared very quickly. The return to the car park after my flight back to Bristol was very quick and uneventful.”
