However where its let down imo, the website itself, particularly the checkout is ridiculously confusing.
I didn't want a subscription, and although I was promised i could cancel free trial before 30 days, that still made me question several times if i really wanted the hassle of not only trusting how easy it would be to cancel (since lots of sub based businesses are definitely not easy) but also welleasy is a new company to me, i just wanted to try a few new organic items and the checkout and membership wording changed on almost every page i searched so I wasn't happy about that atall, i decided to back myself up and contact customer service by email to check (and although they were fast answering the actual questions i asked were not addressed) in end i thought id take the risk (i shouldn't feel like buying from you is any risk!)
Then second problem is that welleasy used yodel and yodel sent me everyday for 4 days promises that my parcel would be delivered to my local store, amd everyday over 4 days they failed. Finally i managed to get help live chat on the 4th day and they told me my parcel was ready and had been delivered to store 2 hours previously, they gave me the collection code and I turned up at the store with my collection code and the staff at spar, corringham road Gainsborough, told me they hadn't scanned the parcels yet and couldn't tell me when they would get round to it. I explained that i had perishable food items (tofu) and my parcel was supposed to be delivered on Saturday its now Tuesday, yodel told me it was ready.
They had a really bad attitude tbh,so all in all a terrible quite expensive stressful experience.
I then went onto welleasy website to double check i wasn't being charged for a subscription (because i was told i had a free year, but then it changed to 8 pounds per month) and it had already scheduled a 48 pound redelivery of same items!!! Which i never selected on checkout in first place.
I then followed instructions canceling and double checked again with customer service to which ive kept ALL correspondence and screenshots because I just dont trust anything from welleasy now.
Its not difficult to have consistent wording on each page that talks about subscriptions, how to cancel and your current account status.
So lots of negatives that made me feel like i might be scammed, not a good look.
Items i did receive though are very nice and well packed.
Im sorry i be rushing to repeat the experience again”

I'm so sorry about the issues you've encountered with your first order with us and this is far from the norm. So just to explain a little, WellEasy is a membership store similar to shopping at somewhere like Costco. The membership is what allows us to have the prices that we do of up to 50% off RRP. It can definitely seem a daunting thing to pay a membership to shop for groceries but that's why we have our savings guarantee so even if the membership came out and you never placed an order again, we'll refund the difference at the end of the year. Most members however order every month and save up to £250 or more with us.
The £48 charge you see coming up is the membership fee for the year. We allow all new customers a 30 day free trial before committing to a year just so they can see the whole experience for themselves. That being said, the experience you had regarding your local parcel shop isn't something we want our members experiencing and deliveries should be straight to your door.

I also received about 3 emails concerning the same refund issue which was a little annoying because it caused confusion. “The concept is excellent, it's like an online healthstore. The quality of the products received so far seems good and a good variety available online. The only downside was the packaging, a couple of items had unfortunately opened in transit and I had to vaccumm chia seeds for a few days which had spread out in every room :-). Also use of plastic packaging to wrap up jars is not ideal, as there are sustainable packaging alternatives. I didn't really get the benefits of the subscription scheme, the benefits have to be more pronounced. But overall a happy customer here and will be purchasing again!”
“I'd have preferred to give a 5 star review, but there are issues. I love the range of products that are available and the pricing seems reasonable. It's all quality produce but it's not an emporium I'd want to visit more often than monthly. Being a single elderly gent my shopping, @ 50 quid a throw, will naturally be sporadic.
The daily emails are now geting tiresome and the apparrent "snooze" of emails annoyingly does not work. Also, there are no references to it within the site. I'm in two minds about whether or not to continue my membership...”
