“The shelving is of very poor quality, unsafe to use, and falls apart when you move it during the assembly process and should be withdrawn from sale immediately. The product comes as a 4-shelf racking system which is assembled in 2 halves which are connected by a flimsy bracket and at 1800mm high is seriously unstable. The uprights supporting the shelves bend and twist easily as do the interlocking tabs on the shelving supports. I have kept the unit as 2 separate units purely for safety reasons. BUY THIS PRODUCT AT YOUR OWN RISK”

“Based on the ease of assembly and poor quality of the product I would advise that purchase of these shelves by any prospective buyer be avoided.”

“Once assembled it was completely unstable and dangerous, needs to be anchored to a wall to stop it from falling over, I had identical problems to some of the other reviewers, we all can’t be wrong about this product. Shop around there are far better products available at a more reasonable price.”

“ibought this item from tradeprice deals and i wish i hadnt i was expecting to fit it together with bolts but when i saw it was put together with the parts i sunk, but not to mention the scar i had when fitting it together. It woulld not stand by itself and i fitted to the wall of the garage by scews”

Hi Janet, Thanks for your review. We've sold serious volumes of these bays of shelving to both businesses and consumers, and with very little feedback. Most of our positive feedback in fact has come from people who've purchased our budget ranges, and most reviews that we receive are glowing, both about the product and the service. I guess if you were expecting a bolted system perhaps the fact that ours is boltless, as it says on the product page, could explain why ultimately you may have been disappointed. Regardless of this please do accept our apologies for maybe not making it clear enough and therefore enabling you to buy what you had expected. These bays are designed to be free-standing, with no need for fixing to the wall or floor, but as explained they must only be used on a completely level floor.

“Bought 6 ft everyday storage shelving 6 levels. Instructions no help at all. Quality average, but the unit is so unsteady I had to assemble it into 2 sections for safety reasons. If it hadn't have been so bulky, I would have returned it.......not worth £60+......my loss. Would have given zero stars.”

Hi John. Thanks for the review. We've sold volumes of these bays to a huge variety of customers, Harvey Nicholls, Travis Perkins, Sony, even Mcdonalds have bought them from us, along of course with many many home owners who are looking for some great value storage for their homes. Our instructions were designed by a local graphic designer. We could've just gone with the foreign language ones that come in the box as standard, but always try as a business to achieve the best customer experience, so elected to design our own rather than just 'make do'. You say it's 'not worth £60+', but I'd just ask you to look at commodity prices. When you see what's happened with the price of the steel, MDF and plastic that are contained in the box since the advent of Covid I think we've done a really good job of keeping our prices super competitive for these entry level bays, and I'm extremely proud of my team for achieving this through such a challenging time. As far as returning it, absolutely we would've much preferred you to contact us directly with your concerns so that we could've offered a refund, rather than leaving a negative review, that could have potentially damaging effects on our business. We pride ourselves on our customer service and always keep the customer at the forefront of our minds. With this in mind, do accept our apologies for your negative experience. Maybe next time just give us a call....

“The service was good but unfortunately the metal frame & shelves are flimsy. They definitely don’t look like they will be able to hold 200 kilo as advertised.”

Hi Lital, we're really happy that our service impressed you but very disappointed that you're not happy with the shelving unit. All of our budget shelving products are rigorously tested at https://www.tuv.com/world/en/#, one of the leading testing labs in the world across all industries. The shelves that you bought are actually tested to 300KG UDL (uniformly distributed load)! We offer all levels of shelving, the 200KG being the entry-level and what we consider extremely good value at £48 inc. VAT, but if you felt you may need something more substantial it may have been an idea to spend a little more - it's limited how much physical raw material you can get into a £48 product after all!
