I was happy with how responsive Jordan was initially. But I voiced a concern to Jordan on 22/11/2024 that he might not have been a whole of market broker as he did not place me with the lowest overall rate available to me. I also voiced concerns that he advised me that I had to go with a 10% deposit although I preferred a 5%. I was surprised that he did not take this matter as a complaint but advised that he didn't want to "affect" my mortgage application. This left me feeling that if I pressed the issue I would not get the mortgage that I qualified for. I would have liked this issue raised as a complaint so that I could have had the best rate and terms available to me and that is the reason for the score. I did refer some people to Jordan but I did advise them to ensure they got the best rate from the 'whole of market'. Jordan no longer returns my calls.

In your specific case, our recommendation was based on crucial research into your unique profile and circumstances. Our priority was to select a lender whose criteria aligned perfectly with your income and financial profile to ensure your application could be processed and approved successfully. As detailed in your 'Reason Why' letter, this approach secured the mortgage you qualified for under the best available conditions. Regarding the Deposit Amount We sincerely apologise if you felt pressured regarding the deposit amount. We aim for full transparency throughout the process. During our initial conversation, we explored the option of the minimum deposit. However, we also explained that by supplying a slightly higher deposit, you would gain access to a significantly more competitive tier of rates across the market, ultimately leading to a lower monthly repayment for you over the initial term. You were happy to proceed with the higher deposit target to achieve the best possible rate, which we were pleased to improve further by monitoring market changes and switching you to an even stronger deal before completion. Friendly staff that explained things clearly and were able to obtain a mortgage that suited my needs. They did not communicate with the solicitors enough despite being located in the same area.
