So happy with this journal!! The fact that it is undated worked out perfectly for me, and I love the little stickers it came with. Colour scheme is perfect and it’s a good size journal to take around with you. Couldn’t be happier!

Speedy delivery of my purchase. Could I ask if the material used - eco-friendly leather is actually vegan ?

Hi Lesley Thanks for your question. Eco leather isn't classed as vegan - it's actually a combination of leather scraps and offcuts. Using these offcuts reduces the demand for virgin leather and the harmful production process it requires, hence the eco friendly movement behind it. I hope this is helpful and answers your question.

Top class service. Products are ideal for what I want with a wide range and the website is exceptionally clear and well laid out. Delivery is quick - you can order by midday and DPD deliver within 24 hours. Packaging is 100% secure so nothing is likely to get damaged. And - the big plus for me when buying on line - is the ability to speak to a human. Queries are answered quickly and it is clear the owners have spent time on customer service. Special mention to Chantelle who has always been really helpful. Will definitely use again in the future.

I work in customer services and I know the importance of providing reasonable expectations for the customer. The Journal Shop could do better here. I reached out to find out the expected additional time frame on Hobonichi product dispatch given the recent launch of the 2025 range. At this time I was advised that they had oversold the item ordered. I was offered a refund or an alternative which would be dispatched for next day delivery. I selected an alternative and received the small refund for the difference but not the promised next day delivery. Chantelle did her best as the person dealing with the issue, she did all that was expected of her, but I feel she was let down by others within the Journal Shop. I would have expected additional notes on the website reminding customers of delays following such a big product launch but then I would also not expect a company to sell more of a product than were actually in stock.

The journal shop is fantastic. I wrote a review about a poor product but was told to revise it. I have no issues with the journal shop which I will always return to. The product I reviewed as poor I stand by. If you don't want to publish a bad review of a products that's completely up to you. I would suggest not asking for product reviews from loyal customers if you don't wish to have potentially a poor review.

My first time ordering - great selection. Quick to dispatch. One of my items arrived slightly damaged (no fault of the shop) and were so quick to not only respond but send out a replacement. Will definitely be buying from The Journal Shop again.

Dear Shannon We definitely do publish negative product reviews - in fact as well as being a useful way for other customers to learn about a product's good and bad points, they help us make decisions about whether we continue to stock a product in our range. Your review was caught by a feature called auto-moderation (which is sort of like a spam inbox). We periodically scan the moderated queue for reviews caught by this feature and unmoderate them. Your review has been released from that queue along with others in the same group. I have checked the reply to your review and cannot see a request for revision or any suggestion that the publication of your product review is dependent upon a company review being left for us. I note that my colleague Chantelle asked you to reach out to our support team to help you with your faulty product. We do request company and product reviews and you may well have received a separate email about that. There is absolutely no pressure to do this, it's always entirely optional and helpful to other users if you can provide some insight into the way you use your product, or your experience with it.
