“I am genuinely overjoyed to be writing this review about Simply and to say how positive and surprising that they managed to find me an affordable mortgage. I am 53 years old, had a Debt Relief Order just over two years ago, and my wife receives a pension from work on health grounds. Sounds impossible, right? Well it's not- we exchange contracts and move in January!! It started with a phone call to Lee during my lunch break in September and he asked me just enough questions to be able to say whether he thought he might be able to help or not. Once he said yes, he passed me to to a series of colleagues who each specialised in particular steps in the process. It sounds complicated? It wasn't complicated at all- they explained what they would help me with and were quietly patient and helpful. Charlotte and Lauren guided me through getting all the paperwork together. Their emails were great as the list of what was still needed me to provide got smaller each time I sent more information to them. From Lauren it then went to Eloise and Ellie who jobshare and they guided me through the mortgage application itself. Their communication was seamless considering the fact that they had to communicate together and with me. They were genuinely thrilled for me when they rang and said the formal mortgage offer had been made. At this point I was offered support to start looking at life assurance etc and was supported through this with Caroline. I was new to all this and so Caroline asked what was important to me and how much I wanted to pay a month and then came up with a list of options. I honestly cannot thank Lee and all the staff at Simply enough for what they have done. To think that I had a Debt Relief Order just over two years ago and my wife has a long-term health condition with a work pension and every other mortgage adviser we tried gave up once they heard about my financial mistakes and my wife's health, but Simply said "That's what we specialise in" ! I believe that we get what we pay for and I had no question whatsoever about paying their fee, and Lee was upfront about this from the start. He told me I would only pay right at the end when they had the formal mortgage offer, and he also gave me rough but accurate figures for what I would need for solicitors and surveys etc. So my advice? First of all, just be curious with Simply about whether it might work for you- give them a ring and you might be completely surprised like I have been. Second, don't give up hope- they encourage you along. Then, just be honest and open with them so they know what they are working with. They really do seem to work miracles with the countless number of us who, whether through our mistakes, poor choices, or unfortunate life events, are judged as financially unfit or unattractive to lenders. There really is hope.”

“I was only sitting at a cafe hopelessly searching for Mortgage Brokers after being turned down by two brokers that were recommended by the developer (who actually hadn't thoroughly looked into our case that had potential) then I came across Mortgage Thoughts! From start to finish they have been absolutely incredible and on point! always answered my queries and responded to emails giving me updates on the application. Had initially gone with another lender then Robert Wells came along to rescue the case and realised who to actually go with and he has been incredibly brilliant! I can not stress how good they are! Don't use free brokers! pay and get your moneys worth! Thank you so much guys!”

“Communication and updates was excellent. Really appreciated all the help that was offered. Was kept up to date mostly every day. And felt really reassured after being told with different advisor companies that a mortgage wouldn’t be possible to us. However, the services is expensive, but they have helped with our perfect home.”

“We have tried so many mortgage brokers and they have all been time wasters. For over a year we have endured brokers' promises that they can achieve an easy and fast remortgage... then they do credit checks, make us fill in months of paperwork, always promising that all is well before finally, after many weeks letting us down. Simply have been the exact opposite. They were realistic from the start about the headwinds we faced due to our complex circumstances, and yet thanks to the incredibly professional and tailored service that Simply provide, they secured a formal mortgage offer for us in around six weeks. What was particularly good was that Simply clearly have a very well organised system of pre underwriting that they employ in house during the pre submission application process. Unlike other brokers, Simply really do go through their clients' applications with a fine tooth comb to ensure that everything is correct and appropriately conveyed to prospective lenders. We were assisted in our case by three separate professionals before our application was submitted and at every stage of the process the Simply team went above and beyond to ensure that nothing unduly hampered our application. Having been let down so many times by brokers who promise the world and deliver zilch, we were at every stage expecting the wheels to come off. Simply however, were as good as their word and even better than the many excellent reviews that I had read prior to approaching them myself. I would recommend Simply without hesitation. Whether you have been refused a mortgage in the past of not - seriously, these guys are the ones to go with. Thank you Simply! Thank you Angela, Lauren and Lilly!”

“I contacted simply as another broker advised I couldn’t remortgage as I wanted to change from a buy to let which was coming to end of term to residential repayment and I thought selling my house was the only option due to past credit history after I was made redundant. The advisers were knowledgable and kept me up to date every step of the way right through to my mortgage offer. I’m so pleased I contacted them.”

“I hadn’t heard of Simply before and found them through a Google search. Although apprehensive at the beginning (mainly based on experiences with other brokers and a high valuation fee), the entire experience with them was very pleasant, and stress was minimal. The team were extremely professional, upfront and kept me regularly updated with a special shout out to Karen and Alex. I received my offer today which is great. I now think the fees were worth it to allow us to get our home improvements done (adding value to our home) and a chance to repair our credit over the next couple of years. Thanks very much!”
