“The mittens area disapoointment. I live in western NY, one mile off the shores of Lake Ontario where we receive plenty of Lake Effect Snow and winter winds. I bought the mittens to protect my hands for walking our dog and hiking during the winter. I have used them three times now in a variety on conditions and my hands have been cold. The coldest day when it was 9F / -17C and my thumbs were numb.”

“Bought a pair about 3 years ago which were great in function and fit maybe 4 years size medium . The pair I bought recently had to be returned fingers close to 1 inch too long also very tight around the wrist . Ended up buying new batteries for my old gloves which are still fine . The size I ordered were medium so the difference was quite surprising maybe using different manufacturers shame .”

“Gloves seemed like a quality item, but even after measuring and following the recommended sizing guide, still way too big. Although there is a Canadian website, all stock ships from the UK - took 3 weeks to get here and return/exchange is a non-starter because I'm responsible for the cost to ship it back, which is more than the gloves are worth. I gave them to a friend and ordered another pair off Amazon. Seemed like a quality item, but I doubt I'll deal with Sealskinz directly again.”

“Bought a waterproof beanie for a trip to Antarctica. It was kept my head warm and dry and I was very happy with my purchase and speedy delivery. Only 4 stars as although in the sale it was still a bit pricey and I don’t yet know if it’s longevity or ease of washing”

“It does a great job keeping out rain and wind, but when worn for extended periods tends to sweat alot and needs to be dried out before next use.”

“Ordered 4 pairs for a Christmas present, the expected delivery date given was when we were to arrive at an out of town relatives. We had the order shipped there. We were there a little over a week and the ordered arrived after we had left. We don't know if we like the product, but we are definitely not happy with the order delivery process.”

“Ordered a size large for US size 10-11. Received a size much smaller. They fit my wife and she wears a size 7 in women’s. Bought another pair of waterproof socks from a different company. Got them the next day and they are the correct size at half the price with excellent reviews. Sorry sealskinz. More than likely not taking a chance on your product again.”
