“I recently decided to pull the trigger by investing into a couple pairs of waterproof socks. Having done some basic research, I thought I'd try two different models, therefore got a pair of the latest Norwich and a pair of the older Stanfield. To be honest, I didn't purchase because I actually intended to use them in actual submerged conditions at this point but primarily for insulation combined with extra cushioning within my gore-tex boots, given I'm a full-time bicycle commuter/bikepacker etc. I've now used both and if I could return/exchange the stanfield for another Norwich I surely would. A. Because the Norwich is reasonably thinner without exactly offering less insulation and b. because it breathes much better. Furthermore, the extra thickness of the Stanfield makes it near impossible and/or quite tight to wear with two of my three winter boots which tend to be on the narrower side and with a less roomier toe-box. Consequently, given they are not exactly at the price of a Primark 5-pack, I wish I'd quizzed more without learning the cost-full way. Yes, these things happen but then being a conscious consumer makes things a little more complicated, while it's not exactly mine or Sealskinz fault. As for the overall customer service, I've been to the shop and I've also spoken to them on the dedicated phone line and can honestly say that the girls on the phone have always been ace, responsive, polite and knowledgeable with whatever technical questions I threw at them about socks and gloves. Now please excuse me but whoever I've spoken to in the shop during my two visits (with the exception of bumping into the owner the one time), young staff there were not exactly knowledgeable nor generally interested.”

“Early Christmas present for my partner as his others were well past their best. As he aims for 60 miles per week as long as it's dry and not blowing a Pooley (he is 78 so makes some concessions to the weather) he's worn them every time since they arrived. The bright yellow is much better than black.”

“I have a number of Sealskinz products hats, socks, gloves and I have enjoyed wearing all of them. The waterproof socks are very comfortable, the hats and socks really are waterproof and the gloves keep my hands toasty warm. They are a go to product for me.”
