“The fresh fish was delivered by post, the packaging whilst preserving the fish, we believe is unacceptable with the need to cut out waste/packaging, earlier delivery by van/fish monger was preferred, we now intend going into town the the fish mongers”
Good afternoon, thank you for your review and comments. Please be assured we can still make our deliveries to you via our own Regal van and nothing has changed with our delivery service for you. Upon checking it appears that the Courier option was chosen online on this occasion, this is an alternative service offered to our customers should they require a more regular delivery service or outside of our scheduled dates with our vans. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused. I can ensure we leave a note on your records you prefer our vans to the Couriers in the future. Our website will show them as 'regal van delivery' in the listings of dates available. We would be very sorry to see you go and lose your valued custom due to this matter, I am hopeful by providing this information you will reconsider your position and be willing to continue with our service. “It is so easy to order fish online and then for it to be delivered to your door. We have never been disappointed with our choice of fish. I particularly like the sea bass. I have ordered monkfish this time, but as yet not used them.”
“Fine pickled herring! However, there were two issues which mean that I will not be ordering any more. Firstly, one of the plastic containers of fish was split, meaning that much of the liquid had spilt and the box was soaking wet. Secondly, unless you are ordering a lot of fish, the addition of postage onto the cost makes the herring very expensive: I can buy pickled herring at my local Polish store for about half the price.”
Thank you for your review and feedback. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the herrings purchased from us. I do apologise that one of the containers had been damaged during transit, we will happily replace this foc for you. Upon checking I can confirm that we would be able to transfer you onto one of our regular delivery rounds via our own fleet of Regal vans (every 6-8weeks). We do not have any delivery charges using our own vans. The Courier (DPD) does have a delivery fee if the order value falls under £55. I will request our Customer Care team contact you regarding the points you have raised and offer a resolution that meets with your approval.
