Set up was straightforward although not clear why the need to instal to PC/MAC when the mobile App is the more useful platform to use. Generally, the location of the cat is fairly reliable although sometimes location points can be a bit rogue and off the patch. That said over the course of a number of hours you get a good picture of broadly where the cat is. The fluorescent bands we bought both came off in a matter of days so these need rethinking. We’ve bought an entire roll on Amazon for considerably less money! Also had to re glue the inner rubber reduction band as the adhesive didn’t last long. Sometimes the app logs out for no reason and it won’t log on again until you get back to near the station. A good addition would be a beeper. This would help locating a lost collar which we had to do. The location wasn’t quite where the App said it was. A beep would have saved us a couple of hours! Sorry lots of gripes. But customer service is excellent. Email only but all queries and questions have been answered promptly and professionally and personally written - no cut and paste, all friendly and supportive. There is no phone or live chat so don’t know why that is an option below?

Excellent, useful device. Had one for well over a year now and can highly recommend it. The chances of finding your cat with this collar are so much higher than without it. The battery life, low radiation, GPS and radio tracking set this apart from other options. Some things missing to make it perfect: the most notable missing thing is an option to have the collar beep, this would make tracking far, far more effective. Lower profile collar would be better too, without the big bump. An auto alert if the cat goes a certain distance away would be useful too. If those could be implemented this would be the perfect product. Without those it's still a very good product and I can thoroughly recommend it. 4.5/5

We bought PetTracer because 2 of our cats are too small for other makes of tracker but we're disappointed. For getting a general sense of where they hang out its ok. The battery life is ok. I've been putting off leaving a review because I don't want to be negative but it seems that it doesn't take much for there to be no available signal so there can be very long gaps in knowing where the cats are. The whole rigmarole of making the home station mobile is a massive hassle and doesn't always work in our very ordinary neighbourhood. So now one of my cats is missing and there's no signal, no recent update and we are frustrated and despondent. Small detail - the coloured tape for the collars doesn't stick on well and gets very worn quickly. What should have brought us peace of mind and kept our cat safe has done neither.

Having previously lost a much-loved cat some years ago, I was reluctant to let my two young male cats out without a tracking device. After extensive research, I invested in PetTracer collars for them both. Unlike other products on the market, the collars are light-weight, slim-line, gps/radio tracking system that is safe for animals, and with a long battery-life (up to a month power). I can monitor their movements, detectable inside buildings as well as outdoors, which brings peace of mind, knowing that if either of them becomes trapped inside a shed/outhouse/property, they can be easily located. For location in the dark, a light can be activated remotely on the collar. PetTracer is a first-class product, well-worth the investment!

I tried a number of pet trackers and none match up to the accuracy and quality of the petTracer one. My cat went never goes missing and very rarely goes off for longer than 2hrs max. We recently moved and purchased a couple fo trackers, the one he had on just didn't;t seem to maintain a signal or pin point his location. The worst happened when he disappeared for 13hrs and when we tried to locate him there was nothing, you obviously think the worst. We saw PetTracer and he did the same, I loaded him and cold not believe how accurate it was in locating him. I think he was also shocked to hear my voice call his name when he strayed further than he usually does.

These guys are the best when it comes to tracker collars for cats, I’ve had them for a over a good year now and the customer service is next to none 5 stars 🥇I can track my cats with the app on my phone no problems and if they ever go missing for a while I have used it to track them down and I’ve found my cats every time with it. If you love your pets and want to know where they are this system is top dog!!!!

I can't speak highly enough of PetTracer. I tried a couple of other GPS trackers, but the short battery life was problematic or the accuracy of the GPS not great. PetTracer collars can go uncharged for at least 48hrs, whilst pinging the cats' location every 10 minutes. It helped find and rescue our 7 month old kitten who was missing and found pinned in a corner of a garage roof by a neighbouring aggressive cat and too scared to move. It's also helps get the 2 kittens in on warm nights by pin pointing exactly where they are so we know where to find them. The customer service has been excellent. From responding to emails on a Friday evening when first setting up the collars, to double checking that they were working properly. The collars fit both kittens well, an additional padded spacer being needed for the smaller one, but both don't seem to notice them at all. Overall PetTracer offers complete peace of mind that we know the cats are safe and well, and if they do ever get lost or trapped in somewhere we can find them. Thank you very, very much.

My cat went missing for 2 weeks. It turned out he'd been hit by a car, someone had tried to take him to the vets but he'd escaped from her. So he was not only injured but also lost in a strange area. When I got him home I wanted a tracking collar, after browsing online and reading reviews I decided on PetTracer. The main reason for my choice was that it has the longest battery life and also uses gps and rf to track. The collar is fairly lightweight, not too chunky at all. My cat likes to roll in the dirt, he can't wear a traditional collar as they twist on his neck when he's rolling around but this one is fine, plus it has the quick release clip on the fabric part of the collar if he did get it caught on something. PetTracer advertise up to 30 days battery life which may well be achievable on the least frequent update setting or if you have an inactive cat. My boy however is an extremely adventurous and active Savannah cat, so I'm only managing about 1 week. That's still better than the other trackers though. The tracking isn't pinpoint perfect but it's within about 10 feet so pretty good. I live on a steel hulled boat which blocks the gps signal, unless he's by a window, however I can tell if he's at home because the RF signal is at it's maximum. The base unit needs to be connected to wifi all the time to work, which is a challenge for me with the unreliable internet that comes with living on a boat; the marina wifi has let me down more than the tracker. It's possible to go mobile with the tracking aerial by connecting a power bank and hooking up to a mobile phone for the internet connection, which would help when searching a wider area. My only real criticism would be that a subscription is needed for each collar. I would like to be able to buy a second collar, so that I can swap collars when it needs charging. Flint is an active cat so there is a rick of him going missing when his collar is on charge. Since there is no swappable battery (which I appreciate helps with water resistance) it would be good to have a 2nd collar to swap, but not at the expense of a 2nd subscription!

Light, comfortable and safe collar Combined radio and GPS technologies work very well. I have used the search function successfully on 3 occasions Integrated LED light which can be switched on remotely to assist search Easy to use mobile and desktop apps Long battery life between charges Safety release band with option of a harder release band for stronger cats Excellent customer support

Great tool if you're concerned about your ferries. Our cat got seriously ill and wondered off, we thought he'd gone off to die. The tracer helped us find him. We got him to the vets, they operated on him and now he's fit and healthy and very happy.

This is the first time I have bought a GPS collar for my cat, and I really a, glad I did! It is great to be able to see where your cat is, where they tend to go and help find them if they have been gone too long. It is good quality and their price plans are brilliant, making it affordable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to a lack of reflective surface on the collar. My cat is pure black and I would have liked to have had reflective part of the collar for his safety in the evening. It is definitely worth the money. The collar is light and not too bulky, which is perfect. I would highly recommend.

A very useful piece of kit as can now keep track of my cats whereabouts. Only downside is the collar comes off way too easily, the location is not always exact so spent many hours looking under hedges for it. Would help if the collar had other colour choices not just black!

I’m impressed with how accurate this tracker is. I can literally watch my cat go down the road to his favourite spot and then back again. Anyone who’s curious about the secret life of their cat should get one.

I bought the Pettracer after our cat went missing and was found shut in a neighbour's garage. Having the Pettracer gives us more peace of mind as we now know the range of the cat's daily adventures and we know we have a very good chance of finding him if something goes wrong. Setting up the device is a bit complicated but stick to the step by step instructions and you'll get there. The collar looks a bit cumbersome but it's lightweight and doesn't seem to bother the cat at all. We've had the Pettracer about 6 weeks. The collar got lost once. I don't understand how it came off the cat but it did give me the chance to try the radio tracking function for real and it did the trick.

Excellent customer service, very helpful advice and explanation. I researched several options before choosing PetTracer and I am glad I did. Our boy disappears regularly for days at a time and now we know his territory and that he is mostly over at the neighbours farm. It did take me a while to fully understand the way the collar works and why/how Diggle could be home and the last gps signal was still showing him as away - which is until the next communication with the collar. It didn't concern Diggle to get used to wearing the collar even as a semi-feral. I will say the catch is not a safety catch as I cannot pull it open without unclasping, so I fit it quite loose and we did lose it once, but of course were able to go mobile with the base station and find the collar in a field of peas which was a good test. The metal keeper on the fabric part of the collar was too big and useless so I removed it and stitched the spare end down which worked well. The battery lasts a good week on fast and the reminder by email that the battery is getting low is very useful. An alert of some kind when the collar/your cat comes back into range would give greater peace of mind I think. Overall I am very pleased with the PetTracer.

I cannot recommend the PetTracer product and their customer service enough. Long story short, we found our blind, 13 month old kitty, Mei, hiding in the engine of a car about half a mile away due to the PetTracer collar having been missing for over 12 hours. I genuinely think she'd have been lost forever without it. Not only that, Anna, from PetTracer, who was helping us with settings remotely as we searched for Mei, was compassionate, helpful and engaged throughout the entire day we were searching for her. Mei's collar wasn't picking up satellites as (unbeknownst to us at the time) she was surrounded by engine block but we took the home station out and used it as a mobile unit and it gave us enough of a radio signal (finally!) to locate her. We live in the countryside and there's a lot of space to search hence the time it took to locate her. The location isn't alway 100% accurate, as some people have said, BUT we know where to start looking for them if they don't come home. The collars are also bulky (although light) for small cats but our don't even seem to notice they're wearing them. Perhaps the collars wouldn't work so well in a very built up area but for me, in the middle of nowhere, they're great.

Our cat, Marmalade, kept staying away from home for many, many hours. Pet tracer now lets us see where he's gone and gives us peace of mind that he's not shut in somewhere. The radiotracer is an excellent addition allowing us the trace him if he's inside a building and the GPS signal fails.

For cats who don't roam that far but who get themselves shut in other people's houses, shed and garages, petTracer is a godsend. I've tracked our cats down to locked garages, to gardens where they have been having a stand-off with another cat and safely retrieved them when they have crossed the busy main road nearby. I've managed to locate and retrieve lost collars (which at the price is a VERY good thing!) It gives me confidence that they are safe edven when they're out of sight.
