For the moment the only thing I like is the collar shape of it. The response time is very slow, the accuracy is good but the signal is temperamental to say the least. The cat is right in front of me and the app shows no signal from the GPS or the collar, how can that be? The resolution of the map is not great and the frequency of the signals is too sparse. Hi Marianthi, Thank you for your review. We understand you love the collar and not happy with some things so will answer. The "response time is very slow". I assume you are referring to the GPS positions. You can change the mode and get a signal every few seconds if you want, most of the time a signal every few minutes is enough for normal day tracking and this can be changed on the fly when the cat is wearing the collar. The resolution has unfortunately nothing to do with petTracer as we use Google maps. Have you tried getting in touch with us about sending it back? Depending on how long you've used it we will help you out as much as possible. Best wishes
The collar worked fine for the first month and then stopped working. No idea why. Can’t get it to work even after resetting. Really disappointed as it was so expensive I thought it would work. Also when the collar is indoors you need a portable power supply attached to the radio transmitter to be able to walk around to try and find the collar. Overall very expensive and I’m disappointed that it stopped working so soon after purchasing. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Hi Emma, Please email us to support@pettracer.com. Your collar might be faulty and we will be more than happy to fix it or replace it. In the extreme cases that you need to find a cat which in trapped indoors, locked garage, shed etc where there will be no GPS signal you will need a powerbank to be able to use the Radio technology and find your cat. This should not happen very often and it will help you where any other tracker will not. Please do email us we are happy to help you.
Purchased collar didn't work properly from onset then completely stopped working said they were sending new one out but still haven't received yet !!!! Luckily our cat came back when it stopped working. Terrible product that hasn't been tested properly stay away !!!

The delivery times were weeks longer than you'd expect. I found the emails and guidance very disjointed, with the overall process of getting a subscription and adding the base station etc very complicated. A poor user journey.

Terrible. The device worked once set up for 2 hours, after this it completely lost gps and wouldn’t even connect to the mobile network let alone the gps! When it did work gps was well out - my partner took the collar out to check prior to putting it on the cat. It showed the collar was ‘outside the geofence’ which it wasn’t anywhere near! This lead to false panic a fair few times!! Emailed the company and it took about 9days after them receiving the item back before they decided to refund it. Complete joke - useless, the cats are now out without it and I have less worry as I am not constantly told they are on a main road when this is not the case. AVOID.

in all honesty i expected more for the price, i think the app is very poorly made and you aren’t able to see exactly where your cat has been there is no live tracking either and i think for the price i paid there should definitely be more to the app. The only positive part about the tracker is that the collar itself stays on well.

Device lasted a week before it stopped working. Setup process is overly complicated and in an age where a GPS trackers are available the size of a £2 coin, this collar requires a base station and is huge and made of hard material. My cats all looked very uncomfortable and thoroughly unhappy while wearing it. Until PetTracer make it much smaller, more flexible and comfortable, and do away with the base station. Steer clear.

Honest and accurate Review. In our opinion this item is not fit for our purpose. The stated GPS range of 1 mile is not achievable and we can only achieve 100 metres line of sight from our home before connection is lost to the collar. Our cat cannot be monitored whilst away from our garden and therefore this device is only useful for historically tracking data for his movement when he returns. The battery life achievable is a maximum of two days on the Pettracer recommended setting and not as suggested of around 4 to 5 days. The GPS positioning is not accurately shown on the map and not generally accurate as it suggests some cat movements which are not correct. Cat and collar became lost for eight days whilst having this product and walk searching by us was the only way to find the cat along with members of our village community helping to track him. This product does not reduce our stress levels whilst our cat is away from home (typically for 24 to 48hrs). Customer Services do not respond to emails (3 to-date so far over 5 days) and collar has been lost now on two occasions, even with the heavy duty strap. When the collar was lost the first time we were lucky to have our cats name and contact number attached to it, and a dog walker was kind enough to contact us. Lost again last night but now with no GPS or Radio signal whilst configured in mobile we have no data to start a search. We are tied into an expensive contract for an inadequate product. Very disappointed.

One star is way too much for this “tracker”. I cho to buy as is double the price of others, so you expect the you get better service. For one month, the only thing I can hear from the support team is what the device cannot do. I'll start with that the positions showed in the app are often not accurate, it happened many times that my cat is my garden and I can see it, but the app is showing him a few houses away. They offer live tracking, for a month live tracking worked three times for me, the rest of the time the collar has no connection. A few days ago my cat come home without a collar, they advised me to make my home station mobile and go out to search it, they sent me a screenshot with possible position of the collar, I walked nearly twice the diameter they showed me, and guess what, no collar found . The customer service is offering me to buy a new one, so why a reasonable person would like to buy a second time a product which clearly doesn't work as they claim???

The worst thing that I have ever had the misfortune to purchase.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this DREADFUL PRODUCT, mine has never worked properly from the day I received it, they're communication is diabolical, they just don't seem to be interested, they even said that my cat was out of range when I found out that he was never more than 400 metres away!!! If I could I would give it minus stars!!!

I did not enjoy this buying experience. Set up was a challenge and there was little assistance with that because the person I was speaking to did not understand why I had an issue. Things were missing out of the box that I had to ask to be resent. It is very expensive for what it is and only works outside. If you’re want to cancel early you have to send back the unit. I paid £190 for the year for a service I used once before getting a cat protected garden. After cancelling, I had to pay return postage for the unit and then continued to get emails asking when I was going to return it after I already had.

Hi, Thank you for your review and apologies that you had a bad experience. We take bad reviews very seriously and always try to improve our service. Just a couple of points that we would like to point out regarding your review: - petTracer works outside with GPS and if your cat is trapped somewhere where there is not GPS, such as someones garage. You can use the Radio Only Search Mode. petTracer is the only cat tracker to combine both technologies - Yes, you have to send the unit back or pay for it if you'd like to cancel your contract before it is due to end. We do refund you in full during the first month if you are not happy with it and send it back. - If Hardware is sent to us without a cover letter or a name sometimes it will take longer to be updated in the system and hence you might still get emails about it. However, this does not tend to happen under normal circumstances.
I've than the pet tracer for a month now and with the help of friends and family I've only just managed to set it up. Only to find it doesn’t even work. There is not even a helpline to call . It's absolute con, nothing like the video ad. Complete waste of money. Save your money and buy a bell you'll have a better chance of finding your pet.

After having checked your support ticket on the 20th of Dec we can see that we replied to you and gave you instructions. Looking at your portal I can see GPS positions for the duration that you had petTracer on, then you turned the HomeStation off.
