I am not very happy using mrbeantocup, but needed to ge tmy coffee machine fixed. The site is not fit for purpose. On checkout, it states to be absolutely sure the part is correct and to contact them for advice, something like that. I may be a bit vague on details. it does not work. I tried it. It is useless. When you click on the assitance for the part yu require - you can only progress if you slect a manufacturer. I was asking advice on a DeLonghi part, and nothing on the drop down for delonghi. I needed 2 heavy springs that sit inside the brew unit, the thing with the plate on top. The offered parts looked nothing like the real springs. Instead of puchasing 2 springs, I had to buy the whole brew unit with pipes coming out of it, at considerable expense. All because you guys cant get your website correct or make it impossible to ask questions about the parts you are selling. If I am having these problems, others are as well, and probably give up and look elsewhere. I've seen this before. Where a company has a Software Dev that is absolutely sure they know what they are doing, but fail to test their product correctly in th ereal world and make sure the site is fit for everyone, and not a small minority.

I’m sorry for the confusion and frustration you experienced.It looks like your order was for a mechanics valve rather than the complete brew unit, and DeLonghi doesn’t sell those two large springs separately—so they don’t appear on our diagrams. I know that’s disappointing when you only needed the springs. The 2 parts fitting arrived incomplete. Fortunately I had the second part still usable, otherwise it would have been a further order with a further shipping cost and more time to wait whilst coffeeless.

The ordering process and delivery were seamless, however the packaging was badly damaged. Thankfully the item I'd ordered was okay.

Thank you for your feedback and pictures. Wow! What a rip on the cardboard box! Just imagine the force that the packing had to absorb to protect your rather fragile milk carafe...and it did! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your feedback, Neil. You placed an order at 13:49 on the 2nd of December, Friday and the parcel was delivered at 10:32 on the 6th of December, Tuesday. I am sorry if you find this delivery slow with a service which delivers between 2-5 days as promised on the website before purchase and in the confirmation email after purchase.

Portafilter wouldn't work when it arrived. I has to take it apart and re-align the pressure valve which was not positioned correctly. Also, the Shipping Carrier, UPS, charged more than the item cost in Import Duty as it was coming from outside the EU.

Thank you for your feedback, Gerald! I tried the remaining 20+ coffee holders that we have in stock and I found no issue with them. It looks like this was an isolated case which I am sincerely sorry about and I am glad you managed to sort it out ! Regarding the custom duty and other fees UPS charged you, We have a big red warning sign in the checkout, see picture attached which warns you about these fees. At the moment we are only able to offer a DDU service where the recipient has to pay their own authority(custom, VAT/Tax, handling fee)for bringing goods in their country. For Example, This is not a problem in the US where there is no such a fee. I have been working on the solution but have not yet had a breakthrough... Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced.

Product as described but 12£ for shipping is a bit rich for an item that cost me 5£ and weighs in at lessthan 50g.

Thank you for your feedback, Ruan. I am sorry if our shipping costs disappoint you! However, the handpump you ordered is higher than 2 cm which means it has to go out as a parcel. Your shipping cost was £10.8 though (which is still high, I know) I am unable to offer better shipping charges as these are calculated by Royal Mail. Kind Regards, Zsolt

I think it's the last time I will ever buy something in the UK or outside Europe. I'm from Belgium and I had to pay 20,59 pound for custom formalities and 17,13 pounds for import tax. So in total I paid in total 94,83- pounds for almost nothing. Extremely expensive. So, no. This was the last time. I have to search for another shop. Sorry guys! Brexit is making this happen. Thanks for that I had a look on the Belgian post website and cross-matched it with the information on our website https://www.bpost.be/en/receive-parcel/customs https://www.mrbean2cup.co.uk/ordering-from-the-european-union According to this table below and ours. Your fees were 24 euros for custom handling + Belgian VAT at 21%. No import TAX. So your order with us was £57.11 (No UK VAT charged) this is about 66.54 EUR (NET). You needed to pay VAT at 21% which is 13.97 EUR However I believe you were overcharged by 3 euros by the Belgian authority as you paid 16.97 EUR Or they charged import tax which they should not have, and has not charged VAT which they should have?! Could you check with them about this extra 3 EUR? I also found 24 EUR a lot to charge for custom handling when we did all the paperwork! For example If you lived in Austria the custom handling fee would have been 2 euros and 20 % VAT This would have meant an additional cost of 2 euros only to your original order which is very reasonable! VAT is 20% in the UK too Overall what they charged you is not far off what we advertise on our website https://www.mrbean2cup.co.uk/ordering-from-the-european-union We also notify all international customers about custom, VAT, duty when selecting a shipping method. (picture attached) We did not mean to disappoint you in any way and I believe we did our best we could but we have no control over what the Belgian authority charges The Good news is there will be a change from 1st of July where we will be allowed to charge the local VAT (in your case 21%) in advance so parcels will not be held by custom and recipients will not need to pay anything for custom handling The bad news is we will not be ready by 1st of July, just yet Once again I am really sorry about all this and please let me know what the Belgian authority said about that 3 EUR Kind Regards, Zsolt
