About Jericho Coffee Traders:

Kiwi James and his wife Lizzie had always been in love with the idea of having their own coffee business, often scheming about how they would go about starting it up.

The opportunity came in 2009 when they found a beautiful Vespa trike for sale on the side of the road, and both thought: “that needs a coffee machine on the back of it”! And so, Jericho Coffee Traders was born!

Now we have a thriving online business and three locations in Oxford, UK - our Espresso bar on the High Street, our Cafe at the Oxford Castle, and our Cafe & Roastery on Osney Mead - all serving delicious espresso and filter coffees accompanied by locally made pastries and cakes.

“The decaffeinated coffee is really good. I’ve always found it difficult to get a decaf brand that wasn’t bitter but the Jericho is really smooth. Delivery speedy and well packed.”

“We have been getting the “ surprise package” from James and Lizzie for several years now and the coffee never disappoints. We enjoy the variety of coffee blends on offer and we have our favourites but it is also fun not knowing which one is in the package til you open it. They provide an excellent and very reliable service and always communicate well if there may be a problem with despatch - during the recent postal strike , for example. However there was no problem and the coffee just keeps coming. Thank you, Lizzie and James for providing me with a constant supply of delicious coffee! Ann.”

“We love to support independent small businesses which do their utmost to trade ethically and responsibly, looking after the people who provide their products. Jericho Coffee Traders does just this. The coffee is glorious, the prices are fair and they are always reliable with great communication if there is any kind of delay (eg the recent industrial action with the post). A great company with the best coffee!”

“What could be better than a surprise packet of excellent coffee delivered straight to your door by pedal power! The coffee never disappoints. Whichever selection I receive is delicious. And getting a surprise packet takes away the "problem" of which of the numerous but equally lovely coffee to choose! It really is a fun way to buy coffee. Most importantly Jericho CT coffee is very affordable for such good quality coffee.”

“I love these people. These people love coffee. Years ago two of the friendly youngsters in their Oxford cafe had enough time, and patience, to show me how to use my aeropress correctly. I always order their coffee for my, now delicious, home coffee. Explorer Blend and Maya are my favourites.”
