About Jericho Coffee Traders:

Kiwi James and his wife Lizzie had always been in love with the idea of having their own coffee business, often scheming about how they would go about starting it up.

The opportunity came in 2009 when they found a beautiful Vespa trike for sale on the side of the road, and both thought: “that needs a coffee machine on the back of it”! And so, Jericho Coffee Traders was born!

Now we have a thriving online business and three locations in Oxford, UK - our Espresso bar on the High Street, our Cafe at the Oxford Castle, and our Cafe & Roastery on Osney Mead - all serving delicious espresso and filter coffees accompanied by locally made pastries and cakes.

“Great coffee, my favourite origins (Congo, Rwanda, Burundi – even all three in one delivery!), good and sustainable relationships with the coffee growers behind it. Beautiful packaging and, most importantly, very tasty beans inside. What's not to like?”

“Jericho coffee roasters show a good attention to detail and their actual roasting is as good as i have encounterd, which after 40 years of drinking speciality coffee is the best compliment i can pay them.”

“As always, excellent service from the best coffee providers online. I made an error on my address due to having just moved house and not noticing until I submitted the order that I hadn’t changed the delivery address on my Apple Pay. I emailed the team and James replied within ten minutes, even on a Saturday morning, and they duly changed the address on the order for me. The coffee is for my partner (as I don’t drink coffee) and he always thoroughly enjoys the quality and taste of the Colombian blends. I placed a second order over the same weekend and will be ordering again when the supplies run out. Brilliant service and top quality coffee, thank you James and Lizzie.”

“I’m have so much time for this coffee company! Website navigation is straightforward, packaging is really attractive, and the beans are awesome. I’m passionate about supporting Ukraine, so I’m delighted to be able to purchase the Slava Ukraini beans, which taste incredible. My wife struggles with caffeine, so being able to get decaffeinated whole beans to grind at home is a game changer as well! Gone are the days of stale, tasteless, pre ground decaf, and now she can enjoy tasty coffees with me!”

“Arrived by post very quickly, only 6 days after roasting. Have tried 3 of the 8 so far, and am astonished to find all of them equally delicious, including the one I least expected to like. Perfect grind for my espresso machine. Nicer than any coffee-shop coffee I’ve tasted, and I won’t be buying coffee anywhere else from now on!”

“Jericho coffee has solidified itself as an absolute staple in my life. I started going to their shops in Oxford in 2016 and when I moved away from Oxford, I moved to their subscription instantly. The service is brilliant, and their subscription is faultless. The coffee comes, well packaged, on time every single time. On the very rare occasion something goes wrong (only ever the delivery company) the Jericho team have been extremely responsive on email. Their coffee is absolutely brilliant quality and I love getting the suprise package to change things up. Finally, Jericho's subscription is incredibly well priced, especially compared to some of the "mainstream" brands. I have loved seeing Jericho grow and I have, and will continue to, recommend this to anyone that drinks coffee.”

“I have ordered twice now from Jericho coffee traders. Both times the bags of coffee where well packed in great resealable bags. The coffee quality is also great. Ground perfectly for my Moka pot. Will be ordering again.”
