About Jericho Coffee Traders:

Kiwi James and his wife Lizzie had always been in love with the idea of having their own coffee business, often scheming about how they would go about starting it up.

The opportunity came in 2009 when they found a beautiful Vespa trike for sale on the side of the road, and both thought: “that needs a coffee machine on the back of it”! And so, Jericho Coffee Traders was born!

Now we have a thriving online business and three locations in Oxford, UK - our Espresso bar on the High Street, our Cafe at the Oxford Castle, and our Cafe & Roastery on Osney Mead - all serving delicious espresso and filter coffees accompanied by locally made pastries and cakes.

Great value coffee with beans often freshly roasted a day or 2 before delivery. Other brands I've used at similar price points have sent coffee roasted about 1 month ago. On the negative, the website has very poor user experience as constantly giving new customer discount popups and making it long-winded and painful to manage subscription as I often need to amend the delivery date. Many of my coffee bags have often shown up with a small tear in them as well I'd say around 50% of my deliveries have been like this. Last 2-3 bags haven't had this so perhaps something has improved here.

Hi Dominic. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. On your points, we will be making changes to the website to minimise the impact of pop-ups in the next week or so, and are also planning to improve our subscription process this year. It would be great to get more details on your subscription management issues as that will help us provide a better experience. I'll send you an email regarding that. I've also asked our fulfilment team to look into what might have caused the damaged bags that you mentioned, but good to hear that hasn't occurred recently. Thanks again for your review!

Coffe very nice but delivery very bad and disappointing because when they packing put demage bag and sending and when bag open nice smell gone off coffe.Not recommended

Generally the coffee is very good, I am a little disappointed that I recieved the same coffee twice in a row and was disappointed that when I complained about a punctured bag I recieved I did not even get a response. I would work on customer service.

Hi Roderick. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us review. We're sorry we dropped the ball with your email about the split bag. We'll see how we can do better! We'll contact you directly about that issue. We do try to rotate coffee between consecutive orders of the Surprise Package, particularly for monthly orders, so you shouldn't have received the same coffee twice in a row. We'll review what happened.

Ok, company, coffee seems to be of good quality. They keep you informed on the dispatch of your orders but don't reply to the emails sent to them. Perhaps small customers are not as important as large ones :(
